A Sure Way to a Happy Day

I thought I would end the month for you on a happy note and with a poem for you to ponder-- My wish for you is Happiness.

A Sure Way to a Happy Day

Happiness is something we create in our minds-
It's not something you search for and so seldom find.
It's just waking up and beginning the day
By counting our blessings and kneeling to pray.
It's giving up thoughts that breed discontent
And accepting what comes as a gift heaven-sent.
It's giving up wishing for things we have not
And making the best of whatever we've got.
It's knowing that life is determined for us
And pursuing our tasks without fret, fume or fuss...
For it's by completing what God gives us to do
That we find real contentment and happiness too.

Hi Friends,
I made this card using the Close To My Heart  SOTM "What a Hoot", along with some of my fave paper Graphics 45 the collection is called "Happy Haunting"
The ribbon is from my friend  Karen of little scrap pieces and the button is from my stash. I used CTMH dessert sand ink and Shin Hahn markers.

I am sending it to a friend of mine who who who (got stuck there) Loves owls.

Would you just love to get this cool stamp set for $5.00?

You can with a qualifying purchase, but this special goes away in 5 days. Please come and visit my Close to my heart store  HERE and see all the latest products including 9 new paper packs. Hi Friends,

I made a matching card and envelope from the up up and away stamp set. I used the top half of the kite and embossed with creative inspirations gold sparkle, both on the envelope and the card. This was a real CAS look and I really like how elegant it came out. The sentiment is stamped in onyx  black versamark ink on Vintage cream card stock.  I think this has the look of the 1920's also.

Hi Friends,

Ancient Rome Era was used elaborate borders and mosaics. I think I missed the boat on this one mine came out with kind of an Asian Flair even though I was trying for a mosaic look, first I started penciling it in and that took forever and did not look dark enough to work so I cut the background out in black and glued it on top.  Stamp A Fair 2014. The card is 4.25 x 4.25. The flower and the leaves were much prettier before I added the mosaic to it.  Still if someone were under the weather I think this card is perfect.

I used a cricut die from ornamental iron and the sentiment and the border  is from Asian Fusion. The flower and leaves are from Happiness in bloom PTI. Card stock stampers select white and vintage cream
The inks I used are CTMH topiary juniper, pear, honey and ruby. Verafine onyx black

 Don't you love it?
Thank you Lizzie Jones for the inspiration.

The Regency Era is the era of Jane Eyre, I am trying to capture the feel for it for the Stamp A Fair 1014.

Holiday flourish paper tropical teal and vintage cream card stock PTI . White roses from TH shabby flourishes. Crocheted flower with pearl from a prize I won a while back.  I used heritage (Cricut cartridge for the oval frame) with Gold DCWV  card stock and then I inked Versafine onyx black on it to give the aged look Don't you love it?

Hi Friends,

Here is how I chose the winners and of course, I used Random.org, but before I could do that I had to add round one to round 2.

There were 45 entries in round #2-- which would be the first 45 numbers,
then to that I added the 28 entries from round #1 giving me a total of 73.

Those numbers would correlate like this from round #1
#1=46
#2=47
#3=48 --etc.  in round # 3 the 73 numbers will be added to the total number of entries -- with round #2 coming in right after the numbers at the end of round #3 . I hope that makes sense to you, it made sense to me and that is why I am doing it this way.

Round #3 will begin soon- The prizes get bigger and better each round!!  Read below to see how you can have a better chance at winning. The next round will have 3 prizes. I will let you know soon what they are.
******************************************************************************** The winners of round  # 2 are-

Hi Friends,

I thought it was time for a  giveaway!! What do you think?

I don't know about you but I just love looking through idea books as reference to get ideas for new projects.
I like to window shop and basically look at the new trends for future projects and ideas.
Since I started selling the CTMH line of products, I am experiencing the wonderful quality of the products and I just love looking through the new Annual Inspirations idea book and catalogue. The new catalogues retail for $6.00 and the shipping is $5.20.  They have more pages and the format fits better in a shipping folder.  There are so many projects and ideas to create from that one can get overwhelmed. I have had mine for a month now and I just love all the new workshops on the go. They will be available to the general public on August 1st, but I got my hands on a few and I would like to give one away to a lucky randomly picked  FOLLOWER

3. follow me on pinterest- leave a comment

Hi Friends,

I am loving this Monday, it is cool here and the kids are starting back to school not all the schools in the area but it should start getting quiet around here. This past weekend was the Monterey Concours d'elegance,  so Highway 1 was a parking lot.

Anyway one thing about being a paperholic is -- it is hard to throw things away that look like they might be useful. Last week I used a cover plate to make my fiber paste card the smile one.  This week I am using the leftovers or the negative pieces.  I will do a bunch more, because I have a lot of these swirly pieces left and I really like the way my card turned out.

Aren't the swirly pieces pretty.  They make me happy.

Here are my pieces tucked away in an envelope,

PTI stampers select, winter wisteria ink, ruby reprise for flowers and sentiment
