THURSDAY--

I made this for the Mag challenge and the CTO Celebrate the Occasion (New  Home) The idea for MAG was to use CAC cart and only the images on Page 50.
I knew I wanted to enter the CTO challenge to support my teammates ( the other half, Team 1) The challenge there is to make a card for a new home

I cut the volcano out 7 times to make the roof- The brown part of the roof is the bone, the columns on the side and the dark brown fence are also the bone . The fence and the bushes are made out of the dino the fence is made of his feet upside down the bushes are his back spikes , then I used copic markers to shade the bushes.

Booo Hooo  I just went over to Mag challenge, I thought the challenge ended today -- and it ended yesterday
That is OK I still had fun doing it and I'm entering it in CTO

WEDNESDAY-

Hi everyone,

I got another new cartridge actually I got about 4  new cartridges and believe it or not I can not even remember which one this ticket was in. I guess if I would have purchased this before August 31, 2010--- I would have found out I was-- "Not A Winner" sooner than  later.
I thought it was pretty funny .

What is the difference between Not A Winner and A Loser?
I feel like  a winner today.  The trees a starting to get new green growth and the ground is drying from the heavy rains.
Tomorrow is suppose to be 78 degrees. I'm looking forward to the Spring I think I will work on some springy challenges tomorrow.  I'm going out for dinner and then I will come and visit. Bye for now

TUESDAY- MM#184

MOJO MONDAY 184

RECIPE TO FOLLOW

6x6 On Bazzill card stock
Core dinations for the blue background card stock
 DCWV card stock,

I fussy cut the robot and the space ship ,
I punched the planet out with EK success round punh
I used the fiskars edge punch on the bottom paper, which I place on top of AC black card stock. The top strip is similar without the punch.
I used foam tape on the robot and the planet.
The stamping was done with Color box ink chalk using TCP Travel world stamp set
( I think the stamp looks a little messy, but that is how it is suppose to look to give a vintage look)
I inked around the edges of the robot to give him a rusty look.
The planet is embossed and so is the patterned paper on the right.
I hope you enjoy I had a lot of fun making this card.

I made this card based on the layout of MOJO Monday # 184-  and because the theme is for men or boys  that is why I also entered it in the Cards for Men challenge

SUNDAY -feeling better

Here is the link to Follow Your Dreams

Here is the link to the Bunny that was  entered into Mary's Challenge  CLICK HERE

Thanks to all of you and your well wishes, I am feeling better. I got Anne's winnings in the mail and my  sis's B-Day card out to her

I absolutely love the way this turned out  I used AC card stock for the black, the yellow was from the g.c.d stack and  the pinkish red is from DCWV spring cs stack This is what I really wanted to use for Feb.'s layout.  It was really strange when I put it on the blue and orange card stock (back of Jan) it started looking like a face with tongues sticking out. This is when I re focused and decided to go with the traditional hearts layout-- I did not want February layout to go beyond March (meaning in the que to do list), now I am caught up and I am ready for April.
This design was Lace 1 page 24

I wonder,  do I ramble?

Long story short, 1st attempt to use Paper lace -- The power went out--when I started the machine up it spit the mat out. Sad, I could not even continue to cut again on that piece of paper I think I  can salvage some of it.

I needed multi-cut at 3 for this, it is AC card stock but either my mat is thin or the intricacy of the cut is just to delicate to cut at anything less than 3x-It took about 20 minutes to cut at 3x(multi-cut, med  speed and pressure.

Multi cut at 2 didn't get it either. It will take a long time too cut each of these little pieces out of here by hand.
I'll have to think about that. : -o

This is what I spent my day playing with yesterday.

12 x12 album layout, I am continuing to use the g.c.d studios paper ( whoop de doo) ( yes, I was not being funny that is the name of the paper) through out this album.
This is the back side of January's layout. I do not care for this pattern that much for Feb., but I am going to make it work. That is why I used an orange-red to bled with the background pattern and the yellow to pull it all together. I  will put a journal square above the I love you ( page 60) and next to the heart border (page50).  Small pictures will go along the top and down the side.

My goal for this album and each  layout is to use the backside of the month before  from  the same stack.

I did manage to get a walk in and check out the damage from the storm, it appears the trees behind us were more like 120 feet and there were three of them down, our neighbors called it the bowling alley storm they had 6 trees down behind them and then counting the oak tree up on the hill, that makes ten, for a strike .
We have 4-5 days of sunshine, that should dry some things out.

SATURDAY

Here is the card I made for the 200 follower give away  along with the Michael's gift card.  It is going in the  mail today.
I ended up with the flu this week. Even though I still posted I was not able to finish the painting I was working on for the juried show.  I still met the deadline, with  two others that I entered, but I had wanted to have the third one finished. I'll have to wait until I get my strength back to finish the painting. There is always another show to enter.

Looks like today is the last day of our series of storms and forecast for next week is sunshine, and Thursday is suppose to be 74 degrees.  I will probably post again later, I'll be working on something.

MORE---- FRIDAY

Today is my sister Sharon's birthday. I made this card for her, then I checked on  fantabulous Cricut. and Birthday Sundaes found the  challenge this week is  Birthday,  so I enter and I get two things done at once, (Good for me).

I may even post again later today.  I know it is my sis and all, and I can't believe it, and I'm going to post this anyway, I made it from scrap. The tag cut out was in the scrap pile so I used the fiskar punch cut along the edge, then I found a piece of brown in the pile and did the same trimmed it a little.  The happy birthday  and the orange were from the space cadet B day card.  The base is PTI vintage cream  5x7 (That was not from scrap).
The butterfly was from my M's Haul.
I hope that wasn't too much rambling on.

FRIDAY-

FRIDAY-

These are images I cut out from Serenade, just to have on hand if I needed to make a card last minute. I like doing this with cartridges when I first get them just to see what is on it.  This is  a great cartridge, very few layers, yet it looks like there are a lot because of the intricacy of the cuts.  Check out my video where I show them in conjunction with making a little notebook. So I thought I'd share it.  I'll find out how much she follows my blog if she is surprised when she gets this in the mail or not.

SUNDAY-- NEW TIME

Hi there,
Where did the day go?
It is 10:19p.m. right now and yesterday at this time it was 9:19-- I lost an hour- I'll get it back in November.
I've been working on some things to share.  Tomorrow I will have to begin working on a painting so you may not see a lot of crafting from me this week - although I may be able to get something done while my paint dries.
We will see how the week goes.

MORE -WEDNESDAY

For those of you who own a gypsy there is an update and it is pretty lengthy, so if you do the update, do it when you don't need to use your gypsy. It also includes the imagine app and update on there,  for those of you with the imagine.
I got Kate's ABCs today this was a tough cartridge to find. I got one at Joann's, lucky for me I called,  it was the last one they had so they held it for me. I'm working on something now I will post as soon as I finish.  It is really a cute cartridge--
I'm back  almost two hours later This had 5 layers and 24 pieces, plan on spending sometime, if you want to do this one.   She came out so cute, I made her in both dark and light complexion The sentiment was the easiest part. The stamp is from Autumn Leaves

I used the SEI stack that I got at my last Michael's haul

The images were cut at 3 1/2" and the card is 5x7
I'm doing 15 more of these I already have the images cut out.

This is such a cute cartridge. The image  is mounted on top of three layers of paper, each one gets a quarter of an inch larger as is mounted to the base

Leave a comment I always love to read them

CTO CHALLENGE #4 celebrate the occasion
I am also using this for the   Fantabulous Cricut Blogspot Challenge # 51

Challenge #4.
This week's theme is " St. Patrick's Day" .  So, create a card, layout or project  and post by Sunday, March 13th, 11:59pm (EST).  The winner will be selected and entered into our monthly drawing.  March's prize will be "ROCK PRINCESS" cricut cartridge!

RECIPE:
This project was made from  an empty Finish dishwasher tab container.
I first made holes in the top with the crop-a -dial. Then I took 3/16th inch dowels and cut them down to 12"length. I made various sizes of the shamrock from Paper doll dress up cartridge. Two images were needed  for each dowel. After gluing tissue paper to the dowels I then, sandwiched the dowel between the shamrocks. I covered the container with green paper. I cut out the fence from PDDU @2 1/2" I needed two sheets to go all the way around. I then cut out the pot of gold at 6 inches and and used stickles for the gold. I used Mrs. Grossman's stickers for the rainbow. I designed the lettering from Gypsy wanderings on the gypsy at 1 inch high and welded all the letters together. The flag was made from a white piece if card stock ,cut at 21/2 by 8” then, folded in half around the dowel and glued together. A piece of green and orange card stock were cut at 2 ½” by 1 5/8” and glued at opposite ends of the white paper
The fence was cut at 2 1/2" high I needed to cut two, to go all the way around the container.
On the back there are 5 1-inch pots-of-gold on the fence, underneath a 5" shamrock which was colored around the edges with Copic markers to give dimension and there is a strip of clover cut at 2" that goes up both sides under the fence. This was a real fun project. I used my baby bug, gypsy and expression for this project.
Thanks for stopping by Comments are always welcome.

Monday----St. Patricks day ---next week

I had so much green paper, laying in the scrap pile, what is a person to do?
So, I made a very different St. Patrick's day card.  You ask what does a couch have to do with St. Patrick's day?  I don't know, I just liked the way it looked and the color worked.  I'm looking for a challenge to enter so I will be off.  See you soon.

I'm back I entered it into  these challenges:

This is for the Paper Variety Challenge
http://thepapervariety.blogspot.com/2011/03/spotlight-night-is-it-you.html the Theme is green-- this really is mostly green, but it looks the camera picked up more of the red:
Recipe:
1sheet basic gray,
1 hot rock stud
stamp from Autumn leaves, green ink from studio G
and then I added copic  darker green to the stamp to give it some dimension

VIDEO FOR TRI FOLD CARD

This video ended up being very long, so it is in three parts.  Someone had mentioned wanting a tutorial  on a trifold card, that is why I made this video.  I will be doing at least one more in the Pagoda series and then I will move on to another cartridge. Thank you for taking the time to stop by my place.
