  DL.ART THANKFUL THURSDAY

 CHALLENGE # 291 "Sympathy"

Week #2

This month is going very quick. I am doing spring cleaning for the last 2 years and this year also just a little early.  I probably should have thought to start a posh mark store, I have so much that I have been giving to Charity. 

Some clothes (3 pair of jeans) still had the tag on, but I have never worn them, they just never felt comfortable enough to wear.  Have you ever done that?

What was it, you never used and then just gave to charity

What are your plans for this year?

We haven't made any big ones yet. But I plan on doing much more art. I will be sharing a new piece here on my blog on Friday I am collaborating with some other artists. Make sure you stop by.

Week #1

Sad, but true this is the way I am starting the year.  A friend of mine lost her son  in a car accident in December.  I can not even imagine how devastating it must be. 

This was my third attempt making this card for her.

As you know last year black Friday I got the maker and have been playing with it. I had hoped to do an unboxing video, but too many things kept coming up.

 After Christmas there was a great sale on attachments  and I could not pass it up.

 I ordered the foil kit,  the card below was my 4th attempt at putting foil on card stock, I love how it came out. 

My first attempt, the foil ended up on my mat, I accidently set it on the sticky mat while I was trying to put tool in the machine. Then I had to clean the mat off and wait for it to dry to make another mistake.  My second attempt, the foil got all bunched up, because of my cardstock placement on the mat was not in the correct spot.   The third attempt the ink wrote on the mat, luckily I paused it in the nick of time before it started writing on the edge  of the card stock. I unloaded it, wiped up the ink and  placed the card stock in the correct spot and this was the result. I am very happy with the way it came out.

Welcome to the DL.ART January 2022 linky challenge

Wasn't 2021 fun? Share with us your happiest moments.  

For me it was being with my husband 24/7.  We discussed every meal we were going to have. He did the shopping, I made the meals. I love how well we get along. I am really truly blessed.  We celebrated our 44th  Anniversary on November 13.  I do believe 2021 was a bit more  difficult than 2020. I thought we would be through the pandemic by now

I am also glad I kept my blog up, even though some days were tough to think of something to post I started working on it and ideas began to flow.  I cherish all my bloggy friends and if it brightened a dull spot in your day than I am blessed as much as you. I wrapped up 2021 with the the DL.ART 9th annual elf antics linky challenge, I participated as much as everyone else and found it to be a blast.

Do you have any fun plans for 2022?  Like traveling, dinners with family. meet ups. Are you planning any on line course Is your state open? that kind of stuff.  I plan on doing more art and hopefully enter more challenges. I am also hopefully going to see more friends as soon as the pandemic has subsided and people are getting healthy.
