WEDNESDAY-MORNING more challenges

Good Morning everyone,

Check out how I was inspired by this photograph. Then, try your creativity with  this  very fun challenge.

Recently I got an HP touch pad, mainly so I could keep up with posting comments on all of your blogs while I'm away.  What is really interesting is the touch-pad sometimes finishes words for you . I just realized that-- I hope I didn't say anything I didn't mean to on anyone's blog. I have been away almost two weeks this month, some vacation and visiting with family.  Now I can leave comments from my PC which is much better because the keyboard is so much easier to use.

I am entering this in the Birthday Sundaes (Click Here) challenge
The Paper Variety (Click Here) is celebrating Abby's B-Day:
It also qualifies for the CC magazine challenge :

The card stock is PTI vintage cream
All the other paper is Cosmo Cricket Hopscotch
I cut six images of the muffin Cricut imagine stock image 3different patterned ones and then three in blue, cuttle-bugged  (I made this word up, and I like it) it, with Polka Dots folder.  Then, cut the top off so I could use it as a muffin cup, I decided to sand it so the dots would show up and give it some dimension. I used Jenni Bowlin, Spice tin ink and Inkadinkadoo stamp for the happy birthday. The label is cut out of the stock imagine cart.at 1"

TUESDAY AFTERNOON a challenge for fall

Hope you are all having a great Tuesday.  I don't normally post twice on a Tuesday,
but my schedule revs up next month, so I thought I better get some things done around the house like
early Fall cleaning- yes I know it is suppose to be called spring, I do Spring cleaning to .
I wanted to get this card done and in some challenges because, there are quite a few I like to do on Wednesday. So I used Echo Park paper Apothecary Emporium, I really like this set the colors are so "fall" I used 4 different sheets for the front of the card.
The black paper card stock is from the Michael's (recollection), it is a pretty good weight, but I just had to place an order with paper trey ink.  I have been out of the white for quite awhile, so it was time. I have never tried their patterned paper I will let you know when I get it.

for this one -the tree was suppose to be from the heritage cartridge, but I don't have that one so I used October 31. I think this came out great I printed the tree form the imagine cartridge Heirloom, I think it gave the tree a very creepy look, also as it was cutting because the image is so intricate some of the edges stuck to the mat, that even made it look creepier, and I just love the black tree on the Echo Park paper behind it. I am pretty happy with this. This is going in the
Bitten By the Bug 2 (Click Here)challenge :tree
Die Cutting Divas (Click Here): Fall
More Than Favors (Click Here): Halloween
Echo Park need to use Happy days or Apothecary Emporium
This card is 5X7

TUESDAY - CELEBRATE THE OCCASION- Sketch Challenge #28

This is going to be so much fun!!!! We have a sketch challenge for you.  Make sure you go by and see all the designers work and be sure and link up your  own project by Sunday September 4th @ 11:59 pm EST, so that you may have a chance at our monthly drawing  at CTO

I used white card stock as my base this card is 4.25x4.25 (it will fit in a standard A2 size envelope)
I cut a piece of Basic grey patterned paper 4.25x2.25, I then ATG'ed (I made this word up, and I like it) it down.
I used extreme adhesive to hold the ribbon, I then stamped in the corner with an Inkadinkadoo stamp Happy Birthday using Jenni Bowlin "soap powder", I just love the names she gives her colors. I then used "chicken Feed" for the Stampendous butterfly.  I used a white sakura gel pen for the stitching on the top and a blue whispers /strokes pen on the bottom.

To check out all the other designers go to CTO

Constructive criticism on my card from me

This was my first attempt, I was not real happy with how this card came out, but I thought I would share it with you any way. On the right side at the bottom I was using a template and my ink bled and spread underneath, so I thought if I used stickles I could cover it up, it didn't work.  The card stock I used was a textured Bazzill and the stamp did not look crisp it also looked like it puddled within the texture of the cardstock.  The colors were ok, but it just didn't look cheerful enough to me to be a birthday card. Now you have my take on my mistake -- I always learn from mistakes-- I hope this sheds some light for you, before you make this mistake.  Oh yes it is a 6X6 which is difficult to find envelopes for unless you make your own.  Postage is always more on this size card.

I did not use a cricut for this card - It seems strange when I don't.

MONDAY AFTERNOON -AGAIN ( my third post today)-----------three more CHALLENGEs

I wanted to create a very simple card I think I achieved that here. The images are from the "blossom cart", the flower is from "Yummy". I used cuttlebug embossing folder swirls on the flower to give it dimension. Believe was from Ashlyn' s alphabet. I used blue and orange for the stitching around the card. I used brown on the star. The star is one of the stock images built into the imagine machine.

I am entering this into these three challengesso far

SUNDAY-AFTERNOON- cooking with cricut

Came home after church and watched a movie called "Amistad" on TV that I have seen before in parts,  and fell asleep. The movie was excellent movie, I highly recommend seeing it. The falling asleep had nothing to do with the movie I am really dragging today-these health clubs are wearing me out. I need to make a decision by August 31--

On to my challenge.

Saturday--------GUEST DESIGNER SPOT- -----My Sheri Crafts------this is a sneak peak of the top right hand corner of the layout

Happy Saturday Everyone,

I am so excited to share with you that I was chosen last week to be guest designer at my Sheri crafts and the challenge this week is VACATION. To me vacation (equals) = you need  a layout to preserve the memory of the fun time.   I had really wanted to do a layout anyway, so I decided to do one for a trip we took to Paris for my birthday, one year.  I just love the summer in Paris cartridge, it has such elegant shapes and they remind me of that birthday.  This is a 12x12 scrapbook page.
In the top right hand corner of this layout I chose to place an envelope, which I made with the MS scoreboard from Tim Holtz ideology paper vintage shabby stash , I added a Prima (recollection copy) flower as an accent. I then,  laid a strip of stamps from various places in Parisover  the envelope, this is from Graphics 45 Curtain call
When you open  the envelope you will see lined paper for journal ling- that to is from the graphics 45 collection
On the bottom right I used Tags, bags, boxes and more to make a mirrored tag.  The latches are from fabulous finds and cut from Coredinations paper, the frame (ready for a photograph)  is from Cindy Loo and cut out of DCWV paper stack . There is also a journal-ling tag that can slide out in either direction.

The arch is cut from coredinations and the paper company card stock

The Eiffel tower and the lettering for Paris are both cut from coredinations card stock the lettering is from Storybook  and the Eiffel tower and the arch are from "Summer in Paris Cartridge"

Here is the layout in its entirety-- I can't believe I used 5 cartridges on this, but it is a fact.

I hope you enjoyed this project, I had so much fun making it and it really brought back the memories of the fun birthday.

Have a great day! I cherish every comment thanks for visiting my blog.
