Falls around the corner

Good Morning Friends,

Fall is around the corner and I am always inspired by the fall colors, textures, patterns and smells.
With the going back to school Frenzy I thought I would decorate a composition notebook for my self.

Composition notebooks of today don't look to bad the way they come,  but isn't it always nice to decorate one and have it be original, totally you. I love hounds tooth and herringbone, they definitely remind me of the fall, but also very masculine. I added a little bit of the lacy paper to give it a slight touch of femininity.  I went for clean and simple look on this.  I cut the little swatches of card stock out at 2 inches square, except for the brick patterned on it would have ruined the design.

I used PTI smokey grey and Kraft, all my other papers are DCWV

The labels are form spellbinders label eighteen

My Twine is from the twinery, cappuccino and my button is from MME indie chic

This will be the journal I will use for the rest of the year, unless I decide to give it away.
I hope you like my project and I hope you have a blessed day, Diana

I agree some composition books are appealing but there not as good-looking as when we add our own personal touches!

  8. my youngest daughter graduated college in May so sadly this is the first year in a long time I don't have ANY back to school shopping and must admit I am sad over that. Thanks for inspiring me with your stylish notebook. I am going to get one for myself and do it up for all my card ideas. I love the hounds tooth.

And, Mark Montano and Stephanie are at it again today with the He Crafts She Crafts segment. They both altered several notebooks that you would love to check out!
