Good Morning Friends,
It is design team day over at Bitten by the Bug 2
Our Design team sister Michelle has chosen as the Theme of our challenge this week "Flowers" After you look at my post be sure to go over to the rest of the BBTB2 design teams blogs and see and learn how they did their projects.
To me bird's and flowers seem to go together. I threw in another challenge for myself. It was to use scraps and embellishments that I already had cut out. I had two circles one big than the other, I had 2 cuts of the bird on the branch and 4 of the hummingbird (I only used one cut of the humming bird). Because this is the BBTB2 challenge I did cut out the 3 flowers 3 times and layered them to give them dimension, aren't they pretty?
My sentiment is from My Creative Time, "Celebrate good times" I used ripe avocado PTI ink for the sentiment and after rocking the stamp block I ended up with a blotch of ink where you see the lavender skittle. I had to cover it up somehow and this is what I came up with. I had already spent a lot of time on this card and I did not want to start over I think it would have been more obvious if I had not added more skittles. I think the color of the skittles against the green is very pleasing and brings your focus all around the card and then back to the bird on the branch.
Supplies used:
Cricut cartridge: Lori's Garden
My Creative Time stamp set
Skittles- by Carri- abusybee
PTI ink and cardstock
Sizzix die-Tim holtz
scraps
I hope I have inspired you to enter our BBTB2 "Flower" themed challenge.

I am also the Guest Designer over at Fantabulous Cricut challenge blog, thier theme for this challenge is Bye Bye Birdie- That is why my bird's are out of the cage. I have also included birds with flowers. I love how these things work out. Go check out FCC to see what the rest of the Design team has done there and enter their challenge also. Maybe you could make a card with birds and flowers, then you could kill two birds with one stone. Wait a minute we don't want to kill any birds. Forget I said that, you know what I mean. I am just typing out loud. ha ha!!!
