Guess who's back?
Hope sent me a "SELFIE" to let me know she is here
My friend Hope arrived on Thanksgiving day and she has been very busy helping me with lots of things including making cards, packaging products and riding along to ship them out!! She will also be helping me with my blog! She is sponsoring this hop (so I have no idea what her prizes will be). She text-ed me that there needs to be an elf and red in the project. You know how she likes red. She also text-ed the more elves the better.
Long story short, link up 1 per day, no back linking and no stacking.
The rule is there needs to be an elf in the picture and red and leave a comment after each entry, give the number of your entry and explain what your elf is doing, so we can all read about it. Also comment on other people's elf antic links. The more comments you leave on other people's elf antics the better-- Hope will be checking.

ReplyDeleteMegan, if you have a Dollar store in your area you can buy an Elf like mine that yep cost only $1 otherwise the Elf on the Shelf is a bit more expensive and I saw them in Target last yr and figuring that they may have them again this yr. Last yr I also saw accessories & clothes for Elf on the Shelf at Target. If you cannot find one then you can email (sub symbols for words in parens & no blanks):

Hello, Diana! My Eli has returned! In entry #9 Eli is trying to hide - he thinks he is being camouflaged by the red ribbon and bells! Song is Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy with both songs melded together. There is a standard full length audio version as well as the full length music video of the classic from the Bing Crosby tv show in which they sang it on.

#51 - Today Eli is celebrating National Cocoa Day with one of his favourites: Starbucks Double Chocolate! Yum! Such a fun linky, Diana! A posted a couple of cards in one day and of course the second posts didn't feature Eli and some of my followers asked if he was okay! Everybody loves elves!

Eli had limited success trying to buddy up to my cat Kiwi recently, but there is still one more cat that Eli will try to befriend, and that's Honeydew, so stay tuned!

His name is Wally and he loves to eat blue berry pancakes on Christmas morning (or any morning, for that matter). If you haven't guessed it yet, his crush is on the lovely Loopy! Eli thinks she looks like a princess and he is smitten! I have told him it's not going to work out - this is not a singles linky! #65 - Hello, Diana! Today my elf Eli told me he was feeling cooped up so I knew he was up to something. First I found him rummaging through my purse. Next I found him dragging my car keys towards the door. And then, oh my goodness, I found Eli outside, in the car with the ignition going. He was looking at the gearshift with keen interest, so I decided that if he wants to go to town, I had better take him! Off we went. Stay tuned to see where Eli goes and what sort of mischief he finds!
ReplyDeleteAs an update on the budding romance here at the Linky, yesterday Eli saw his new love-interest Loopy flirting with a Nutcracker. He was a little jealous but I told him that Loopy is just playing hard to get. Eli has decided to cool it for now and see what happens with Loopy next! He's not giving up on her!
#66 is trying to keep track of the time before Christmas arrives so has taken a seat on the mantel for a closer look at our wall clock! I'm thinking I need to buy him a watch so he can help me around the house and still keep an eye on the time!

Delete#76 - You will remember Eli and I recently took a road trip. To be honest, it wasn't much of a road trip - we went into town and went to the post office. I don't get out much hehe! Here is Eli pictured with some friends he met at the post office. I see Frosty, Santa, and one of the reindeer. Eli looks right at home with his Christmas friends!
ReplyDeleteLoopy was sulking just a little bit this morning when she found out that Eli and Wally, two other elves, got to go for a car ride but I told her she could help decorate the tree so she cheered right up. She decided that she'd rather direct us than do the work herself though, so the wreath was a nice vantage point. We're busy as a whole workshop full of elves here at our house, trying to get ready for Christmas. Loopy is #77

Delete#88 - My elf Eli continues his antics at the local post office! We ended up spending quite a bit of time there while Eli made the rounds to meet his new friends. Pictured here, he decided to take a ride on the reindeer - it was just the right size for Eli! No wonder he didn't want to come home - he had so much fun there! The postmistress enjoyed Eli very much!

I almost forgot to post #89, Loopy, today because our day was so full of activities. My two girls and I went to a cookie-baking playdate and they had a ball. I'm set for cookies now, as long as we don't eat them all before Christmas. Loopy has been impressed by all the adventures of the other elves and decided to be a real dare devil this morning. We found her doing a head stand on top of the Golden Gate Bridge. Wow! I think she may be trying to impress Eli the elf, what do you think?

He's hoping to spy the big guy himself, Santa, on Christmas Eve but I have a feeling he'll be sleeping soundly by then because he's been so busy with all the holiday activities.

#97 - Eli the elf wants to show off his adventures in trying to befriend my big kitty Honeydew. I have been hesitant to share these photos. It did not go as well as I had hoped. Warning: Sensitive viewers and small children should look away! But remember - it all has a happy ending! Eli is okay and he has learned a valuable lesson (the hard way!). The moral of the story is: If it's furry and purr-y, be ready to scurry!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Eli enjoyed seeing Loopy on the sparkly reindeer - he says she looks "dreamy"! He is looking forward to their reindeer ride to the North Pole after Christmas! A love connection at the Linky!

Yay! Wally is #100, ding ding ding!! Thank you so much Diana, for hosting this fun event. I've really enjoyed seeing what fun (and sometimes trouble) all the elves get into as we approach Christmas Day. We didn't decorate much for Christmas this year so Wally went a long way toward bringing cheer to the household. Have a wonderful holiday and Happy New Year to all!

ReplyDeleteIn the Netherlands the elf is not a tradition, but I love it, so I asked one of the elves to come to my house too. He arrived just in the nick of time. We will have so much fun next year.
