Hi Everyone,
Hope arrived today, no mask or anything, but she told me she had been in quarantine since the end of last year. So I felt pretty good about having her sponsor the elf antics again. Can you believe it has been 8 years since this challenge started
Hope had a special portrait done for this challenge she was in an ice skating competition and came in first place, hence the gold medal on top of her ice skating costume.
That is her newest costume. She will probably want to go shopping and get a few new outfits this year
She does have some rules
see below
There will be 3 prizes
Prize 1- Something RED
Prize 2 - Something Reddish
Prize 3 - More red stuff
You can enter the elf antics challenge by posting your elf doing whatever elves do (family oriented Please). In the area under your entry you can leave up to 50 characters describing what your elf is up to.
She set THE RULES that there needs to be an elf in the project. You know how she likes red (hint). She also said the more elves the better.
Long story short, link up 1 elf antic per day.
Make sure to share a link to this post on your blog post with your entry each time you enter
and I would love to see you comment on other peoples entries here on this post.
Also, be a follower of my blog
We like to hear what your elf is up to, so let us know, share your elf story in comments with each entry link up.. She is really excited to meet all your elves.
This linky party will be open until Dec 24th at 11:55 p.m. The winners will be announced on Christmas day. We will try to get all prizes shipped out by the end of the year so please check back on Christmas day to see if you are a winner.
Winners will be chosen by random. My contact info is at the top left, 2nd tab.

Have a blessed day, Diana
Yay! Thank you, Hope and Diana! I could use a little Christmas fun right about now! I'm so happy to see this linky! I look forward to it all year, as does my hubby Brian. By the way, congrats on your skating medal, Hope! You look fabulous, as always!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, my elf Eli has not shown up yet. I think the covid travel restrictions might be to blame. Eli told me he is on his way so we should see him soon. In the meantime, here is a photo taken December 2019 where Eli was hanging out with my cat Kiwi, who sadly passed away last month. Kiwi enjoyed Eli so this will make a nice entry for my Kiwi memory album. P.S. I did not share this photo last year - this is the first time I'm sharing. Hope it's okay that the photo is from last year.
Looking forward to seeing the other elves this year!
I am looking forward to seeing all the elves. I hope you share this with your friends and their elves so others can join in the fun- Good to see you KT.
DeleteDiana
So, my Mum rang and I went and talked to her. I came back into the lounge and found the Christmas decorations box out and three elves sorting through to see what they can find! I just hope that they don't squabble over what goes where!
ReplyDeleteSo nice your elves are helping you.
DeleteGreat to see a few more elves joining in. I've been to visit their pictures and stories but unable to comment as all three so far are on Flickr which I don't have access to. I will still be going to visit each one as I can look at the pictures and read the stories (just can't leave a comment).
ReplyDeleteThe more the merrier I am glad to see more elves playing along also
DeleteDiana, thanks so much for the email. I've been thinking about this and was JUST going to see if the elves were frolicking again this year when there it was in my inbox. I'm a bit behind, as usual, but will be participating ASAP. I've got elves up the wazoo, as you know and I haven't blogged much since I haven't been crafting. A huge congrats to Hope on her Gold medal!
ReplyDeleteIt was touch and go whether we would do this but, Hope insisted because she wanted to show off her gold medal and her new duds
DeleteWas just thinking about this and your email came to my inbox just as I was on my way here. Happy to see the festivities continue. I'm having problems with my blog. The changes seem to be giving me fits. Let's see if this comment posts. Congrats to Hope on her Gold Medal! xxD
ReplyDeleteShe is really thrilled with it.
DeleteDay Two (Entry #8) - The elves haven't got very far with the decorating. They can't decide where things are going to go. Here they all have different opinions where the Christmas post box should be going!
ReplyDeleteI can't sign in to blogger, Diana. I'm going crazy! I don't know what's going on. I"ve tried to comment all day and can on flicker, but not here. Let's see if this one will go through.
ReplyDeleteEntry #10 - Day 2 - My elf Eli has not arrived yet. He mumbled something about being detained for not following social distancing guidelines, so he may be a while! In the meantime, here's a photo taken last year, where Eli posed in a holly berry display at the nearby corner store.
ReplyDeleteDay Three (Entry #13) - Ron got his way with where the Post Box went. The other two are off sulking somewhere. Ron wanted the lights on for the photo but they don't show up that well in daylight.
ReplyDeleteEntry #15 - Day 3 - There's still no sign of my elf Eli, but he assures me he will be here soon. In the meantime, I'm sharing another photo taken last year, when we visited our corner store and admired their Christmas displays. Eli remembered that Diana's elf Hope loves the colour red so here he is posing with a number of red decor items. Eli loves red too!
ReplyDeleteHope that Eli comes out of quarantine/isolation soon and is able to join in the fun.
DeleteEntry #18 - Day 4 - Mr Moose came to visit the elves today. He kept them in line while I got some things done! They wanted a photo with Mr Moose and to share it.
ReplyDeleteEntry #20 - Day 4 - My elf Eli assures me he will be here soon but I am getting a bit worried! After all, he's already several days late for the Linky Party! Again I'm resorting to a photo of Eli taken last year that I didn't have a chance to share. Here Eli is helping Brian's sister choose which Christmas cards to send. So many choices!
ReplyDeleteEarly today because the my emergency hair appointment, brought on by the the latest CA lockdown that begins Sunday night and lasts through Jan 4th, insuring a totally crappy holiday season for those counting on a paycheck and are now out of work during what normally is the busiest time of the year for them. I also noticed I've failed to put my name under my Linky submissions until now, but hopefully you can tell it's me on Days 2,3,& 4, Diana. xxD
ReplyDeleteEntry #24 - Day 5 - All was quiet - which means elf mischief. I found the elves having a morning "snack" with not many sweets left in the bowl.
ReplyDeleteEntry #25 - Day 5 - It would seem that my elf Eli has been detained at the border due to all of the restrictions. Who knows what kind of mischief he got himself into. He fancies himself a ladies' elf, so I can only imagine! In any event, I haven't heard from him today so I don't know what's going on. Fortunately last year we took lots of photos so I'll continue on with those until the magic of Christmas enables Eli to be here.
ReplyDeleteThe local corner store always has a beautiful holiday display in their gift shop and Eli wanted to be photographed in many different displays. This one shows Eli with a bunch of like-sized snowman ornaments. I remember that Eli continued socializing with this frosty group long after the store closed.
OOPS! Forgot the name on Day6. Elzabet deals with pets on the list.
ReplyDeleteEntry #29 - Day 6 - My elf Eli is nowhere in sight. He's still in transit, and I hope to get an update from him soon. In the meantime, I'll continue to share photos of him taken last December that I didn't get a chance to share at that time. In this photo, Eli was preparing to eat a huge Rudolph cookie that was made by the corner store. There wasn't a crumb left when Eli was finished - I have no idea how he can eat so much!
ReplyDeleteEntry #33 - Day 7 - Without soundling like a broken record, I'll just say that my elf Eli isn't here yet. It won't feel like Christmas until he shows up. He even missed our first snowfall yesterday. Where are you, Eli?
ReplyDeleteIn any event, the show must go on! The 8th Annual Elf Antics Linky Party is well underway, with or without Eli. Here's another photo taken last year that wasn't posted. Eli shared a quiet moment in front of the heat dish with our cat Snowie. They bonded very well that day.
Entry #34 - Day 7 - Ron has commandeered the crafting items that I had got out to make a card. Can't he just find his own?
ReplyDeleteSorry, couldn't get it together yesterday but hope to today. I've also added comment moderation to my blog because of some really hideous comments I noticed people have been making. That's what I get for not paying attention to my blog in months. YIKES!
ReplyDeleteEntry #37 - Day 8 - What is Ron up to now? After I confiscated the cardstock that he had yesterday, he seems to have found some fabric instead.
ReplyDeleteEntry #38 - Day 8 - It seems that I'm reliving last December through photos of my elf Eli. If and when Eli shows up this year, we can take some new photos. I'm sure he will have lots of stories to tell of his adventures while detained. In this photo, Eli poses with some cards that Brian's sister received last Christmas. They are cute so maybe I'll CASE them!
ReplyDeleteEntry #42 - Day 9 - Ron had been reading about Eli and was worried that he might be detained too. He has made masks for himself as well as for Jassin and Eldrin.
ReplyDeleteEntry #43 - Day 9 - Today we took another walk down memory lane with my elf Eli. Last December we took Eli with us everywhere and even when we didn't, he seemed to show up! Here's Eli attempting to hide in a holiday display at our local corner store.
ReplyDeleteEli hasn't made an appearance yet this year so fortunately we took a lot of photos last year that we didn't have a chance to share.
Entry #46 - Day 10 - Ron has decided it is time to start listening to Christmas music. I still think it is a bit early to be listening to christmas carols all day every day!
ReplyDeleteEntry #47 - Day 10 - December is flying by quickly and there is still no Eli! Where is my elf? I hope he's planning to surprise me by showing up unexpectedly, but I haven't heard from him since the beginning of the month. I can imagine the trouble he has gotten himself into!
ReplyDeleteAgain I will share a photo from last December, when Eli was in top form. Here he is wishing joy to the world - and the world needs some joy!
Entry #48 - Day 11 - Ron has decided the house doesn't look Christmassy enough so he is back into the decorations box. He has pulled out the Christmas canvasses and will put them up in place of the everyday ones. He is listening to (loud) Christmas music while he is decorating this morning.
ReplyDeleteEntry #52 - Day 11 - I'm still living in the past by sharing photos of my elf Eli taken last December. Life was more fun back then! We took so many photos that we weren't able to share them all at the time! Here is Eli hanging out on a wreath, where he looks right at home. Whenever Eli shows up this year, we can have more fun.
ReplyDeleteEntry #55 - Day 12. All was quiet in the house. I went into the lounge and found an impromptu picnic. The drinks were in the green bags. Eldrin and Jassin seem to be having difficulty figuring out how to open the drinks - Ron had no such problem.
ReplyDeleteEntry #56 - Day 12 - I'm re-living last December again with this photo of my elf Eli tucked into a display at our corner store's gift shop. I haven't been inside the corner store for months. Oh, how I long for the days we had our liberty and freedom to come and go as we pleased.
ReplyDeleteMaybe when Eli arrives we will check out the gift shop again. It is open but there are restrictions so it will depend on how many people are there as to whether or not we will go in. The other key is Eli - where is he and when will he get here?
Entry #60 - Day 13 - We're still taking that walk down memory lane but this time we've changed venues. This photo of my elf Eli was taken last December in an office setting. Eli found some tall trees to lean against. It must have been a tiring day for him.
ReplyDeleteEntry #65 - Day 14 - Today's photo is another memory of my elf Eli from last December. Here he enjoys a fun ride on the antlers of a sparkly moose.
ReplyDeleteDear Diana, I noticed that your comments aren't posting for the past week. I hope everything is okay with you and that you're just busy with the holidays and having fun!
Entry #66 - Day 14 - Ron is doing some more crafting. He informs me that he was practicing with the Brusho Powders yesterday. And apparently this isn't the finished version either.
ReplyDeleteEntry #70 - Day 15 - Ron finally finished his crafting. The sentiment is appropriate considering how many days it took him to finish it!
ReplyDeleteEntry #71 - Day 15 - The sign says it all - I am wishing my elf Eli was home for Christmas. It's already half-way through December and he's nowhere in sight. Today we take another walk down memory lane with a photo from last December taken at our corner store. Eli was taking "elfie selfies" all day, with my help of course!
ReplyDeleteEntry #75 - Day 16 - While Ron has been busy crafting, these two decided they would check out the pantry. Looks like they found themselves some more sugary things. Haven't they had enough this week? And I thought I had hidden them well too.
ReplyDeleteEntry #76 - Day 16 - A couple days ago, we saw a photo showing my elf Eli riding on the antlers of a sparkly moose. Today's pic shows him riding on the antlers of a sparkly buck. How fun! Eli is always looking for fun things to do! I hope he's having fun this year, wherever he is.
ReplyDeleteAlas, my elf, Wally, is no where to be found. I think that he may have decided to take social distancing to the maximum limit this year and is hiding out in a mushroom cottage somewhere. I may have to get creative by making a paper elf this time, if that's allowed. In the meantime, I'm off to check out all the other elves and get into the holiday spirit.
ReplyDeleteHi Holly!! You look absolutely exquisite in your skating outfit and the gold medal!
Karen Ladd My elfs name is Hope not holly- I hope yoou find wally so you can play along.
DeleteYikes, of course her name is Hope! Not only did I call her by the wrong name, but I told my daughter that her name is Holly as well. Ah well, we'll get it right next time. Sorry Hope!!
DeleteEntry #81 - Day 17 - After all the sugar that Eldrin and Jassin have been consuming, they needed a bit of a sleep. The sugar high has worn off!
ReplyDeleteSuze your elves are so cute
DeleteEntry #82 - Day 17 - Let me start by stating this is *not* my elf Eli. This is a random elf that we spotted on the front of a truck while out grocery shopping. He's so cute that I had to take a photo. Maybe this is how elves are getting around these days. I'm sure Eli will be home soon - time is ticking!
ReplyDeleteEeek!! We've all been sick for 2 weeks with bad colds and I completely forgot to post Loopy's pictures. She scolded me today when she realized that she was missing out. So, I scrambled to jump in, and will try to keep up from now on. It's bad enough that Loopy is so very envious of Holly's skating medal. She would be so upset to miss out in Elf Antics this year. Day 17 was Loopy's day to help tape snowflakes up above the kitchen cabinets...what a great helper.
ReplyDeleteHope you stay healthy now - it is no fun being sick with little ones to take care of
DeleteMy elf "HOPE" thanks you for the congratulations.
Glad your elf is being helpful
Loopy is back today, for Day 18 (entry 83). You'll have to look closely to find her though, because she's hiding from my son, who just turned 2 last week. She wanted to surprise him with Christmas lights on his little cabin and is hoping he doesn't notice him as he roasts pretend marshmallows at his campfire. Good job Loopy!
ReplyDeleteLook at my little Elf Hope she has a mini me and she named her Hope-Alina.
ReplyDeleteEntry #88 - Day 18 - Ron snuck in the car and has come away with us. He wanted to have a swing at a park we passed on the way.
ReplyDeleteEntry 89 - Day 18 - We're walking down memory lane again. Here's my elf Eli last December, attempting to hide in a berry bouquet. We can see you, Eli!
ReplyDeleteDay 19 was a great one for Loopy because it was the virtual Christmas party for Santa and the Elves. Loopy had a great time singing carols and telling everyone about her visit to our house. She also had way too many cookies and mugs of cocoa, which led to a sugar rush. Cirque du Soleil has nothing on Loopy!
ReplyDeleteGreat talking to you today, Diana! I did manage to get my errands run so my mood improved tremendously. No decorating, though. LOL Goodness, I didn't expect to end up with such a long post though for Day 19.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun talking to you also. I'm glad you got out to do some shopping. Enjoy your goodies
DeleteDay 19: Thank goodness Baxter arrived from the North Pole to sub in for Wally who decided to socially isolate this Christmas. You may remember Baxter from several years back when he happily posed for a previous Elf Antics event. He's excited to see some of his old elf friends and to congratulate Hope on her skating medal. Baxter is also pleased to meet little Hope-Alina and is giving her a nice big elf high-five!
ReplyDeleteEntry #95 - Day 19 - Ron got to the bed first but he needn't think that he is staying there!
ReplyDeleteEntry #96 - Day 19 - My elf Eli has finally broken his silence. He called last night and said he's finally on his way - Yay! He also said he's been through the wringer and doesn't want to talk about where he's been or what he's been doing. Poor Eli! I can only imagine! I'm so looking forward to seeing him again!
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, here's another memory from last year. Eli proudly posed atop a lantern at the local corner store. I remember we had a lot of fun that day! More fun times coming when Eli gets here!
Day 19: Although Wally has decided to stay safe at the North Pole, instead of dealing with crowds and masks, his buddy, Baxter, showed up to join the Elf Antics party this week. The firs thing Baxter did was admire my beautiful handmade cards, sent by craft blog friends. Then he settled down to start wrapping presents. yay Baxter!
ReplyDeleteDay 20 finds Baxter admiring a small Christmas decoration that my daughter made about 20 years ago (or even longer...wow, where did the time go?). We had painted tiny chipboard hat boxes and decorated them with bears, presents, and ribbon. Baxter says it's just his size.
ReplyDeleteEntry #102 - Day 20. The place we stayed at had a vacuum cleaner called Henry. Ron made a mess and was meant to be using the vacuum cleaner to tidy up...
ReplyDeleteEntry 103 - Day 20 - Look who I found in the snow in our backyard! Yay! It's my elf Eli at long last! Where has he been? What has he been doing? I'm sure he'll have some stories to tell, but for now, he says he doesn't want to talk about it. I think he's been through the mill and back. Poor Eli! I'm so glad he's here!
ReplyDeleteEntry #109 - Day 21 - Although Eli has been quiet about his experience this month, one thing is for sure - he wants to spend time outdoors. Maybe he's been cooped up all month. Today I found him out in the backyard again, this time making snow angels. He is loving the snow!
ReplyDeleteEntry #110 has Baxter making mugs of coffee as fast as he can brew them, so that I can finish wrapping gifts and making my gift tags. How are these days flying by so quickly!!?
ReplyDeleteEntry #111 - Day 22 - Ron finally finished cleaning up his mess and we are on our way again. Ron has a special seat in the car.
ReplyDeleteEntry 115 - Day 22 - My elf Eli is not as mischievous this year as he's been in previous years. He's still not talking about his quarantine at the border, but he's very happy to be here with us. And we are happy to have him! In this photo, Eli is helping hubby with the barbecue. Yum! We had steak and Eli had candy!
ReplyDeleteEntry #111 should be Day 21 - not sure where my head was at yesterday. I suspect racing for this year to be over!
ReplyDeleteEntry #117 - Day 22 (had the wrong day yesterday!). Ron found a jumping pillow on our travels and had fun jumping and sliding on it.
ReplyDeleteBeing in lock down with 3 kids and a hyperactive elf is no easy thing, lol. Thank goodness for Christmas music, Christmas movies to keep the kids busy, and lots of eggnog! Merry Christmas to you Diana, and thank you to Hope for the elf party!
ReplyDeleteEntry 122 - Day 23 - My elf Eli can't believe there are only two more sleeps until the big day. He just got here and soon he'll have to turn around and leave again. In the meantime, today he's been hanging out in the greenery, trying to hide amongst the berries.
ReplyDeleteWheeee! Loopy is number 123 for Day 23..what fun!
ReplyDeleteEntry #125 Day 23. Ron thinks this is his dinner!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Was I supposed to comment everyday? I should have had Sara read the rules instead of me! It was fun diversion from an especially stressful month. Thanks so much for hosting and thanks to all the lovely elves who entered. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you Diana, and Happy New Year! Thank you for all the fun again this year. Extra hugs and kisses to Hope and Hope-alina too!
ReplyDeleteEntry #130 - Day 24 - Ron thinks he has found some christmas flowers! He also wants to wish all the other elves a Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteEntry 133 - Day 24 - From the tree, Eli would like to wish everyone and their elves a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you to Diana and Hope for their 8th Annual Elf Antics Linky Party! It was a fun time again this year! Eli and I both enjoyed ourselves! All the best to everyone reading this!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the fun again this year, Diana! Eli and I (and Brian!) enjoyed ourselves again! I managed to comment on every single entry - I think it's fun to see what all of the elves are up to! A big thank-you to those who took the time to comment on Eli's photos, much appreciated! Merry Christmas!
