Happy New Years eve Day Everyone,


This is how I feel about the next year-- 2013 is going to be an amazing  year and this is my wish for all of you. I am preparing for it.

This is just a sneak peek come and see the rest of the card . Stay safe tonight what ever you do.

For the base I used PTI basic white, I used a white board not a black board for my lectures and while I taught  with markers, but I do remember the old black boards growing up,  I incorporated the metal background for the black board to be on top of instead of wood, although wood would look good also. I used Creative inspirations white embossing powder and for this look I did n't mind that it got smeared that is the blackboard look

I used Rhonna Farrer swirls aren't they beautiful? from Autumn leaves, Prisma color white pencil  I did all this on top of PTI smokey grey card-stock

Happy New Years Eve Day

Hi Everyone,

 This is\an extra post day for Creative Inspiration paints, I am sharing with you a New Years Eve decoration.  I want to wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous New year!

I cut the star out of textured core'dinations card stock from a Tim Holtz Sizzix die  formed it, then painted it with the gold creative inspiration Paints.

The banner is from Enjoy the seasons Imagine cartridge. I cut the numbers from George and basic shapes and then painted them gold as well.

Looks like I have my first ornament made for next year.

Here is my card I hope you enjoy it and are inspired and I hope you will enter the challenge.

I absolutely love these embossing powders they are so super fine here is a link  Creative Inspiration products:
I used PTI Blueberry sky for my base, the rest of the papers are from Graphics 45, the dry embossed snowflakes are on Bazzill paper

I used  Creative Inspirations Deliquesce super sparkle red and clear -- it is super fine, did I already say that? It is true, it is amazing

Look closely at the girl I used clear over the whole image to get the effect that is there, it gives it an icicle appearance, very chilling, if I say so myself.

I love how it embossed.

Hi Friends, 

I have always wanted to enter this challenge, but either ran out of time or could not find it,  so I am making a point to do so this time. I also, had bought this great Graphics -45 Christmas paper and only used two sheets out of it so far. So I am going to continue on making Christmas cards, although I think this one could be used as a Birthday card, which I may use for my niece who, took dance lessons when she was little.

She is a cheerleader now, but I think she would get a kick out of this card.

The challenge to use tissue paper in some form. I have fan folded mine in green and it is coming out of the top of the pink portion of the card.

Let me tell you a little about my card....
the  base is Chocolate brown from PTI, A2 size ( 4.25 x5.5), the designer papers are Echo Park Winter Park,  Courtesy of Cathie from CCR. The little orange half domes on top are called skittles (Carri named them that) my friend Carri makes and sells them. Check out her blog, you may also find them floating around as prizes on some challenges.
The Happy Birthday is from Stampendous and the ink is Jenni Bowlin, Spice tin I used true blue stickles for the snowman's buttons. The theme here is winter, but I added the birthday sentiment because my B-I-L has a Birthday January 2, 2013.

Using strips of paper for backgrounds

I can't believe it! I used 11 Designer paper strips patterns to make this card or 10 and a tag, however you want to look at it. Yes I am still on the Christmas card kick.

About my card-- A2 size

PTI vintage cream card stock all my pattern papers strips  are Carta Bella and the pearl is viva pearl pen, I love these.   My small scallop punch is Fiskar and the larger one is EK success.


Basically my card is just designing it and placeing everything where I thought it was pleasing. I hope you enjoy it.

White On White and some much needed MOJO

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  Ours was so nice and relaxing. Any who, back to the drawing board and loving every minute of it. I missed my MOJO on Monday, so here it is.

Wedding Wishes to a friend

The images are cut from the image they are the basic shapes.

I used PTI for the bottom 2 layers, AC card stock for the for the others the sentiment is from a stamp that I only used part of, from SU It's a wrap occasions, I added a little Jenni Bowlin denim ink to give it a bit of depth. I used a cuttlebug folder for the texture and the ribbon is from my stash.

MERRY CHRISTMAS---

This is my day to design over at Creative inspiration paints blog, and seeing as how it is Christmas day.
I am sharing the original meaning of Christmas and How I used these amazing products.
for the whole piece I used the Deliquesce gold crystal embossing powder and the deliquesce black embossing powder. The black came out very shining raised and thick

I used the GOLD CRYSTAL around the edges of  the design also.

here is a close up of the GOLD SPARKLE-- and it really does sparkle.

As you turn it it is almost like a hologram- you can see all the different colors in it.

Dear Friends,

This is a happy time and a sad time for a lot of folks.  We enjoy the moment and the family and friends we have with  and around us now, but we tend to miss those that can not be with us or have passed on.  I know that is true for me. My father passed away in December a few years back and I always think of the fun Christmases that have passed, but I am looking forward to this one. I hope you are enjoying your Christmas Eve day.

I made this card for all of you that are missing your loved ones.  I hope you like it. I did not do it to make you feel sad, just to remember the joy of being with the person that you are missing or love.

Happy Birthday Cathie,

Don't they just sneak up on you.

Today is Cathie over at Creative Cutter rooms birthday and this is the card I made for her. she should have already received it by now, at least I hope so.  I just knew there were a few entries out there, that are not Christmas.  I will be entering this in some challenges.

This card is kind of interesting.  Years ago I bought this card making kit from Creating keepsakes from Lisa Bearnson and I have only made about 10 out  of it and I think it came with about 50 so, now I might as well get a few ready for the upcoming year.  Also, you probably noticed some change in my blog. I am working on cleaning it up and making it easier to find what you are looking for.  Stay tuned there will be other changes in the new year.

Hi Friends,

I feel bad that I have been missing in action, I have had a ton of Christmas cards to make and send, I think I will have them all done today. I have a helper to lick em' and stick em', that is my least favorite part.
Then they will be mailed today and then I am done.

We never seem to see Santa Baby when he comes and drops off the presents, that is why I came up with this card. The invisible Santa Baby card


This is the paper I received from Cathie at Creative Cutter room a while back for a challenge we had.
It is really a thick substantial paper .  I would say 80 # I am not sure, but by feeling it, that is my guess.  The patterns are really nice. I also just won some from FCC and It is all Valentines themed. I'm looking forward to using that.

Hi friends,

I really like this My Pink Stamper set  Stamp set quite a bit, especially this time of year. This is Winter treats and sayings and I used it a lot last year.  I still love it this year and I will probably use it for many years to come.
Here is the card I made with it. I paper quilted my ginger bread girl . Because I cut only that portion of the die I will have 4 different colors for  each of the couples.

Here is the close up of the quilted g- girl. I used a Sakura white gel pen for the faux zig-zag stitching , I like the way it came out.
The die cut  image is from enjoy the seasons and the lace was from my stash I love that color red..

Hi Friends,


I was up until 1:30 am the other morning doing Christmas cards, I did not finish and I am still not finished.  I keep thinking of another person to give a Christmas card to. I wish I could just wiggle my nose and everyone would have a card in their hand, but that is not the real world.  I just scrap lifted a production type card that I thought would be easy to make so I am  working on them now while dinner is cooking.  I changed it up a bit and of course I made it a bit more difficult for mwaaaaaa. Anyway here are the cute little Gift card holders I made from the CANVAS CORP winnings I received from Fantabulous Cricut challenge awhile ago.

I used my scallop punch for the scallop circle and the corner rounder punch from making memories, these are both my favorite punches I think I used the corner rounder the most

 

I have three left and I need to go get more Gift cards to put in them. Wow those went quick.

Hi Friends,

As I'm working on these Christmas cards I keep changing my mind on a store bought card and a handmade to make just another for someone that I know would appreciate another card. Definitely this is a quick post. This is also the first time I have used SNOW FOLKS.

They are cute I can't wait to make more.

Anyway here is my card.--- I think I might be up all night tonight.

This will fit in an A2 size envelope. I used viva pearls for the buttons even though I cut it at 4.2 on the imagine the glasses the nose and the buttons were pretty mangled. I drew the glasses on I made the nose work, the buttons just disappeared.

Hi again Friends,

I am actually going to get working on my Christmas cards, after dinner tonight. I don't mean the ones I post on my blog I mean the ones I had to go buy, because I don't have anywhere near enough made t o send out. I did however, get one made for Bitten by the bug 2.

I did get the out of the country cards finished and in the snail mail today. That is a relief. If I can finish them all tonight I will be one happy camper.

I promise I will sneak in a few visits tonight or in the wee hours of the morning.

Here is my Santa card, the cartridge I used is Santa's village for the imagine.

I hope you like it. This is an A7 card.

 My stamped sentiment is SU  from come to Bethlehem stamp  set, with Jenni Bowlin seed packet ink.
The snow flake and the embossed papers were in my stash so I just put this card together fairly quickly. I used foam tape for Santa and popped him up a bit.

Hi Friends,

Another quick post I just remembered I have to go out and drop off a present to the church.  So I might as well get a bit of shopping in also.

You will probably see me later. In the mean time I had to get my MOJO on.
I have had such a busy and fun week, parties luncheons, concerts, shopping and wrapping presents. Not really a whole lot of time for art. Although I did manage to get a piece of art finished and in an exhibit that is going on right now.  I was not real happy with the piece, but art is in the eye of the beholder and maybe someone will just have to have it (hopefully). Us artist are always our own worst critics.

Here is my take on the sketch
I made an A2 size card

 I used PTI card stock and Bo Bunny for the  spellbinders ornaments. My ribbon and sentiment is from Stampin' up and it went together very simply.

This is my design for Little Scrap pieces.  I'm posting today, to give you a mid -way point and a heads up to let you know the Fun- Friday challenge will end in a few days  that way if you forgot to enter it you can now. I used the My Digital Studio from Stampin' up to design this card. All elements are digital. I added twine, stitching, a punch, a stamp and a shadow, I actually physically punched the hole. Even the vintage buttons are digital. This was really a lot of fun.

Now I am so excited I can't wait to get the cameo (I haven't ordered it yet I'm waiting for the deal), which will be added to my herd of machines shortly, Jessica at Chick-n-scraps has been such an inspiration and an enabler.

Hi Friends,

I am the featured designer today at  Pumpkin Spice and excited to be sharing a couple of designs I created from the December kit
They say all good things must come to an end, sad but true. This will be my last post for this term with Shop Pumpkin Spice. I have enjoyed being part of this awesome team so much and Denine, the owner of Shop Pumpkin Spice has been so generous and supportive to each and everyone of us.

These small white bags were in the kit,  I dressed them up with some embossed silver Bazzill card stock  ribbon and metallic dots.

 I always need gift card holders this time of year so I thought I would make a few from this kit. I like the fun crisp look of this one.

All the products I used are from the SPS December kit (except for the embossing folder)

2- 6 x 6 paper pads (My Mind's Eye: Winter Wonderland and Carta Bella's Winter fun)

About 1 yard each of 3 different twines/jute.

About 1 yard each of 3 different transparent decorative tapes (washi tape!)

±5 Bo Bunny Denim

1 mini bottle of Glossy Accents

1 bottle of Frosted Lace Stickles

8 Bazzill 8 1/2 x 11 coordinating cardstock

6 Bazzill white cardstock

Mixture of die cuts

± 10 Mixture of Candi dots in 8 colors

1 yard each of Danish blue and silver crinkle ribbon
