Hi Friends,

It is time for MOJO Monday.

I had my project done 2 hours ago, but the hubs is home working on a project -- need I say more. I love him to pieces. Anywho I thought while I have a minute I would get this posted.

I got this Basic Grey " Lucille" paper last year at the scrapbook expo and just realized I have not used much of it so here goes.  I hope all my cards don't start looking alike, but I am going to try to use this for the next week or so. Let me know what you think. My stamps are Verve and also the die for the butterfly I added copic markers around the edge and Viva pearl pen to the center. Skittles added at the top left.

Don't you just love this paper?

Hi Friends,

I was experimenting with watercolor paint on stamps  and it did not look too good so I stamped on top of the water color. By doing that, It gave it more dimension and definition. Just showing you how I  corrected the mistake. I used the beautiful blooms stamp and rose madder, Alizarin crimson,  veridian water color and then I added  Jenni Bowlin lemon drop, stick candy, and cough syrup. All this on top of PTI basic white card stock and then attached to a PTI classic craft cardstock.

Hi Friends,

I made this card and I am entering it in the Simon says Monday challenge Transparent. The whole card is made with transparent acetate card stock hinged together with clear circles tape and I used double sided paper. Pretty cool huh?  I drew with permanent markers on the edges

It is wrapped in grosgrain ribbon and has a Velcro closure and a pretty yellow spring flower.

It comes in its own transparent envelope--

This is totally something I do not normally do.

I hope you were inspired by this.

Hi Friends,

Here is a birthday card for my friend- today is her birthday it shipped out yesterday. She will probably get it tomorrow, but at least she can see it now.

Check out these cool embellishments they are calle prills, they came with the heartfelt creations kit that I got in the workshop I did last weekend. I was experimenting and seeing what the difference would be be tween the viva gold pearl pen and the prill.  Can you find it? there is one viva pearl pen in this picture.

I also added some STICKLES frosted lace to the lace to add a little extra texture and interest.

It did not stop there I added a button and a  ribbon bow- umh I think there is a challenge out there somewhere for this card.

My card stock is heartfelt creations, coordinations and Papertrey ink and the beautiful green crinkle ribbon is from My Craft Spot.

Hi Friends,
I loved this stamp from stampendous, so when I saw it I had to have it. I had planned on using it last month, but last month went by pretty quickly. That brings me to today

I used watermark ink and the Creative inspirations black deliquesce, for the outline of the peacock , which gave it the enamel look. Then I colored over it with copic markers. For the background I used the feather stamp with malted milk ink by  Jenni Bowlin. The sentiment is from PTI " A little Inspiration" The card is 5x7 on PTI basic white.

Hi Friends,

Happy Monday, Happy beginning of the week.

I have a fun colorful card for you this morning...

I used my sketched shapes die, and trimmed the cardstock  down to be a bit smaller than the 4.25 x 5.5 card I then took the matching stamps and and stamped on a few of the cut out pieces I used PTI terra cotta tile,  ripe avocado and for the yellow I used Jenny Bowlin lemon drop. For the others I made representational marks on them in various colors  trying not to overpower the shapes that had the sentiment on them for the ink I used Memento tuxedo black and the sentiment is from PTI "A little inspiration"

Good Morning Friends,

It is design team day over at Bitten by the Bug 2

Our Design team sister Michelle has chosen as the Theme of our challenge this week "Flowers"  After you look at my post be sure to go over to the rest of the BBTB2 design teams blogs and see and learn how they did their projects.

I am also the Guest Designer over at Fantabulous Cricut challenge blog, thier theme for this challenge is Bye Bye Birdie- That is why my bird's are out of the cage.  I have also included birds with flowers. I love how these things work out. Go check out FCC to see what the rest of the Design team has done there and enter their challenge also. Maybe you could make a card with birds and flowers, then you could kill two birds with one stone. Wait a minute we don't want to kill any birds. Forget I said that, you know what I mean. I am just typing out loud. ha ha!!!

To me bird's and flowers seem to go together. I threw in another challenge for myself. It was to use scraps and embellishments that I already had cut out. I had two circles one big than the other, I had 2  cuts of the bird on the branch and 4 of the hummingbird (I only used one cut of the humming bird). Because this is the BBTB2 challenge I did cut out the 3 flowers 3 times and layered them to give them dimension, aren't they pretty?

My sentiment is from My Creative Time, "Celebrate good times" I used ripe avocado PTI ink for the sentiment  and after rocking the stamp  block I ended up with a blotch of ink where you see the lavender skittle.  I had to cover it up somehow and this is what I came up with.  I had already spent a lot of time on this card and I did not want to start over I think it would have been more obvious if I had not added more skittles. I think  the color of the skittles against the green is very pleasing and brings your focus all around the card  and then back to the bird on the branch.

Supplies used:
Cricut cartridge: Lori's Garden
My Creative Time stamp set
Skittles- by Carri- abusybee
PTI ink and cardstock
Sizzix die-Tim holtz

Hi Friends,

Did I tell you that I have been working on two hundred cards for the upcoming women's conference?
I will be very busy this whole month. Plus I learned to maked fingerless gloves. I have one made hope to finish the other one and have a pair to turn in for our annual Christmas boutique for the knit wit group.

I was experimenting - The enamel chevron flair button was to be my main focus, However, the trim that I added is really bold, comes from paper trimmings.. I do think the eye goes to the button because of the brightness, but I am not sure if it really ends up being the focal point. I also added the generational stamping in the background, with a hero art stamp and some Jenny bowlin malted milk ink. I used memento tuxedo black ink with the PTI " A little inspiration" sentiment. I think it works perfect for what I was trying too achieve -- to be real...

A2 size card on PTI basic white card stock.

Hi Friends,

I got in really late yesterday. I got a few blog visits in but that is it.  I was wiped out. I did this cute little gift box at the Scrapbook expo in my second heartfelt creations workshop. I ended up buying the die. I can see a lot of possibilities with this. The flower die is separate from the box die. I am not sure but I think the paper for this was special for this class kit. Which consisted of three projects. You will be seeing all of them in the near future. I am pretty happy this looks as good as it does, I put it in the bag with all my paper and it got crushed. I guess it crushed it flat because I don't see crease marks on the flat surfaces.

Hi Friends,

I think I may have just made it under the wire. I always love making projects with white on white, but I thought I would add another challenge by using all green, which is as you know my favorite color. St. Patrick's day is over so I wanted to make something a little more generic that could be given to anyone. I love how this came out. A knit wit friend of mine gave me this stud that came off her blingy jeans. I  told her I would use it to make a card, little did she know I would be making the card for her. so there it is dab center \ on the trifold card from MCT card sentiments with 3x3 fancy trifold card die cut .

I like the way it came out clean and simple  and I just love the stitched dies. I love Emma's dies they work so well in my machine. I also used the sentiment from the set and wa- la easy peasy card. The ribbon is from my Craft Spot

The closure is Velcro, I think I t could have been a little smaller.

Hi Friends,

Happy Monday to you. Well I hope your week is starting out fantastic. My hubs shut the alarm off this morning after he left and I slept in until 8:30. I probably needed it but it sure set me back.  I used the Viva decor metallic 3D stamping paint on this flower. The paint gives the flower dimension and stiffness. I saw this technique the last 2 years at the heartfelt creations booth.  If you have noticed I have used it on a few projects over the last year. I need some birthday cards. I keep forgetting I need to mail them and with the added dimension it adds to posting cost, so back to the drawing board.  Melissa Phillips does a really nice job with a video showing how she uses the paints. I have a little thumb dauber That I dip into the paint (after I have stirred it) and then I touch it on the edges it dries fairly quick.

Good Morning Friends,

It is design team day over at Bitten by the Bug 2

Our Design team sister Michelle has chosen as the  Theme of our challenge this week "Music Speaks"

Remember last week I said "I love all my cricut cartridges and I am trying to stretch my field by using some of the cartridges that I do not use that much. I have not used this one in forever (maybe a year) and I think I have only used it 2 times. There are some very pretty and detailed images on here. I cut the Violin or fiddle as the Irish may call it at 3.6. any smaller and the blade seemed to cut the fine lines up. My scalloped rectangles are cut at 2" for the color and 1.8" for the white. The background paper is cut at 3.8" from the 8.5x 11 basic shape on the imagine machine using the heirloom cartridge. It all sits on top of kraft cardstock. I used foam tape to pop up the violin. You can probably see the shadows underneath. My sentiment is from My Creative Time, "Celebrate good times"

I hope I have inspired you to enter our "Music" themed challenge and play along.

Happy Saturday and my mini review from Scrapbook Expo

Hi Friends,

I went to the scrapbook expo yesterday and met up with my friends Katie and Donna.  It was a gorgeous day, the temperature  was in the mid 70's not too hot, not too cold, I call it a Goldilocks kind of day.   Katie and I took a Heartfelt creations workshop and just hung out together. I also took another workshop, there were about 40 people in it . I did not know any of them until I got in there. You meet the nicest people at a Scrap Expo

I really can't take too much credit for the card, they told us what to do. Yes, I did make it and each person's card looks different, but basically it is a card kit. I love how it came out. I did learn from this, that is always a good thing. I bought the die so I will now make more of these pretty flowers.

We shopped a lot.  I think Donna out did us on the shopping, but we held our own. If you spend a certain money, you get a button -- that is kind of sick huh?  Picture of my button is at the bottom.  Scrappin Grammie formerly owned by Irene has been sold to Julie. This was Julie's first time with her booth and how sweet of Irene to help her out. This is where I had purchased my prima doll stamps. The prices are good and Julie is going to do a great job with her Company.  Unfortunately her website is not up yet. Here is the link for when it is--- Scrapbook grammie

I tried to find some info on the cricut explore, but I did not see anyone with a booth or anyone who knew anything about it.

I had to make a trip to my car, because my bags were way too heavy to carry and then I ended up buying more -- Can you believe it? -- The deals were  just too good to pass up.  I kid you not!!!.  I found the "Echo Park" booth at the end - that did me in, You know how I love echo park, well they had it all and then some.

There were so many good deals at the expo. You will be benefiting through my challenges. Oh- yes I put the prize picture up for my March Linky party.

Scrapperzoutlet.com had a really good sale buy one die get the 2nd for 70 % off before 10:30am- I was on top of it.
We found some really good deals on paper packs from this and that.
Want 2 scrap had some great bargains on bling-- I bought rhinestones and pearls.
I also got the little trunk from Queen and CO it was a great deal, but did not have as much goodies in it as last year.

I ended up with 7 finished projects, 5 cards and 2 3-D projects, (but I will probably add a little more stuff to them and then post them later) over 25 packs of paper,  umteen dies and stamps and glue and runner tape.
I got some of the latest and greatest paper sets and embellishments that are not even in the shops yet from Basic Grey, My minds Eye lost and found and authentique and there are others in there also

Donna left early, Katie and I stuck it out for the long haul and then went and had dinner.

It was really a fun day

I think they should have given me 3 I shopped buttons and 4 I learned buttons.  That is OK I know I learned and my pocketbook knows I shopped.
