Hi Everyone,

I hope you are having a wonderful Monday.
Has it been a good Monday for you? or has it been fraught with problems?

Mine started out really good, actually the problem all began yesterday. My black ink cartridge was not printing, so I went out first thing this am to buy a new one. Three others were expired so I thought I would buy them also. Well, you have to order them or buy them in the multi pack. So I thought OK, I will buy the multi pack. because you get 6 and it would have cost me more just to buy 3.  I go home put the black in, it reads genuine hp cartridge. Black is not printing. I get online, I watch 5 videos trying to figure out how to fix it.
Bottom line... I need a new printer. The sad thing is, this printer is a photo printer and has a great scanner on it. My search is on. Any tips on printers and your experiences would greatly be appreciated.
I am hoping I can return the other inks now, that would be a good portion toward the new printer. we shall see.I will keep you posted

So How fun is this? All the patterns are made from stamps, no DSP here.
My card stock is PTI Fine linen the stamps sets I used are "Asian Fusion"  and "sketched shapes". The ink is CTMH Thistle, sky, flaxen and chocolate  and versamark onyx black. I inked all the edges with chocolate. The twine is from my stash. The button is a deep purple from my vintage buttons collection.

  1. Day started out taking Daisy to the Dog Park to find it was locked. Walked the park near the Dog Park. Came home & walked around the park near my house. In the afternoon I phoned the dog park # and it indicated closed. 1/2 hr later dog park # indicated open so we went to Dog Park. Temps here up 70+. I have an HP Photosmart D7260, no longer available though. My hubby has an HP ENVY 5660 all-in-one printer & scanner bought at Fry's. Good luck with your look for a printer.

  2. Banners are a great way to add those patterned papers to your card, great idea! I had an HP printer that always gave me problems, so I just bought a new Canon Pixma. I hope it works better than the HP did! Good luck with your search for a new one!

  3. Fun card, Diana. Don't you just hate it when you think you only need ink and it's the whole printer you need.

  4. Oh man! All these great retro mod shapes are just amazing together! You sure know how to layer! I'm so sorry to hear about your printer. That's the WORST! Good luck finding a new one that will be perfect for you.

  5. Love your card & all the creative stamping you did! My mom just bought a printer specifically for scanning & printing both vintage & new photos. I don't know which kind it is but I'll find out in the morning & get back to you. I know it's a good one cuz my dad always researches what the best is & then buys it, regardless of the price. Have a great day & I'll get back to you ASAP with the name of the printer.

  7. If you get stuck with the cartridges, sell them on eBay! There are a lot of people looking for a deal and you can at least re-coup some of your money.

We have an HP wireless Officejet 6500A plus. I don't know if they still make it.

    Lovely card by the way.

  8. Fabulous card and fun papers! I just purchased an HP and I'm terribly disappointed with it. My Canon was unfortunately the best printer ever until it died. Good luck on your search.

  9. Fun background stamping Diana! Glad your day started out nicely .
I'm in need of a new printer soon so no help here. I do like the one I have as well with the scanner. Good luck and let us know what you end up with.

  10. Awesome card!! I love the stamps!! You made such a fabulous pattern with them!! The twine bow is beautiful!! My HP all in one printer died and I bought another but couldn't get it to work with my computer. So I took it back and bought a Canon and it's doing great. I already had a Canon photo printer that prints with no borders - love that!! But I wanted one for just everyday printing. Have a great day :)

  11. The hand stamped patterned papers are beautiful. It seems like the ink refills cost more than the printers. Good luck with your search.

  14. Fun is the word I used for this challenge, too, Diana! I loved making my own papers, and I love what you've done here with you're contemporary look. So chic! I just bought a new printer, it's an HP, for 69. and I love it! So simple, so cheap. Hopefully it lasts longer than the last one! Good Luck!
