Hi Everyone,
So, I had a birthday last week and the hubs spoiled me, but that is not unusual, he just seems to do that. Then Saturday I met up with a friend at the scrapbook Expo in Santa Clara. Katie from Katieoscreations. We have a great time chatting and shopping and just looking at all the new products out there. Oh yeah and eating. Usually I would have a haul to share with you all, but unfortunately I did not buy that much. I did buy some paper and I should know better, not to buy it at the beginning of the show, because then I ended up carrying it everywhere. I did the bag check at the very end. WOW what beautiful paper.
If you have been following along you know I am now making crinkle ribbon. This was so much fun and is even more beautiful in person than in the photos the golden highlights just glisten and the pink hues are just incredible the way they blend. When the sun hits you see translucently through the weave of the fabric to the hues underneath. I am in love with this one. I have named it pink hue tail
To compliment it I thought of the color of the ocean when you look under about 6 feet which is a Fathom, On a sunny day you can still see color that far down and the color of the ocean changes, I went with this color for what I call One Fathom. I have gone snorkeling before and the further down you go the less light that is there. I don't think I have gone down to 36 feet, but I thought that would be an appropriate name for this next color so I have named it Six Fathoms.
So what I am getting to, is...
I have a new Bundle of crinkle ribbon called Mermaids Tale -First Edition
It consists of 5 yards of Pink Hue Tail
5 yards of One Fathom
5 yards of Six Fathoms
I hope you just love this bundle like I do. Because each one is dyed separately, no two are alike, just like mermaid's no two are alike. However, I do have formulas for each batch and therefore my saturation and colors are pretty consistent.
