Sunday- Morning

See you all later.

Saturday, July 30, 2011

Good Morning everyone,

Yesterday just got away. I got to the gym. Got a few minutes on the blog and that is about it. I really like to visit, but I was just able to get 5-10 minute intervals a few times.
Here is a card I made late last night for a challenge, but I won't be able to link it until later in the morning.
You could try to guess what challenge it is that might be fun. I hope you enjoy. Have a great Saturday.!!! See you all later.

This card was inspired by the Birthday Sundaes Challenge photograph here, but in the planning stages I also took into consideration circles frosted design that is why the background paper of circles and anything that has to do with water, Paper Cutz challenge.  I  came up with this scene, for a Birthday card.  Any matey that likes pirates, would be pretty happy to get a B-day card like this, one would think.  The sharks look pretty realistic, it might scare someone too young.

Enjoy!! I'm going to get to the gym work off some of the ice cream cards I've been making.

Good Morning Everyone,

It is Friday, I can't believe I posted 4 times  yesterday. My third post was actually my gypsy battery failure design, that I had planned on posting much earlier I lost the whole design because my battery died while I was working on it and I did not think  to save it, ahead of time.
I made this to enter into a challenge: over at Die Cutting Divas (click here)  the theme is sweet treats-  I have done so many ice cream cards lately I think I have gained weight just looking at them. (lol) .  I added stickles to the hey sugar and glossy accents to the highlights of the jars.

I hope you enjoy this card and I will be visiting you all later. Hope you all have fun plans for the weekend.

I made this card  from the "Just A Note" cartridge that came with the CE2- This is a pretty neat cartridge.
I wish I could hook it up to my gypsy. The 4 cartridges that are installed on the E2, came with booklets but no cartridges, as far as I know these can not be hooked up to the gypsy, although I haven't tried it.  You never know what Provo Craft will come up with next.  Those who own the E-2 ---- if we ask for it they may give it to us.  FYI
anyway this qualifies for the
Whimsical Wednesday Challenge.
Fun with Folds

This fits an A2 envelope it is 5.5 x 3.8
I used Bazzill basic yellow (I can get 2 cards Bases out of a 12X12)
My minds eye
basic grey

This was my gypsy battery expired redo---
I changed it in midstream as I do frequently -- I liked the way it turned out and-- I made it so it would qualify for a few challenges. I hope you enjoy.

Good Morning Everyone,

I spent a lot of time yesterday, working on some designs and I had one completed that worked for a couple of challenges, on my gypsy when the battery went dead. I lost the whole thing.  I have it fresh in my mind now. So tomorrow I will have to get it all set up again.  I will post something in the late morning and then probably again in the afternoon.  I should have some time to come visit in the evening.

Hope you enjoy.

For Mag challenge it was to use only page#59 of Create a Critter-- This was one of the easier challenges. I added some Imaginesce studs to the points of the star to give it a little masculine bling. 6x6 card

SATURDAY- Morning (late)--- Death is Part of Life

Hi Everyone.
I just found out a dear friend of mine from church, husband died unexpectedly. They have two small children. I cannot even imagine what she must be going through. I made this card for her and her two daughters.

It is a 5x7 (A7)

I used the imagine more cart
and DCWV paper
& vellum on the edge to soften it
TCP stamps
Jenni Bowlin spice tin ink

Good Morning  Friends,

I hope you are all getting to sleep in. I'm going to try and hit the gym today. If not at least ride my bike.  I will post something later. I have a few ideas spinning in there.  I need to tame them and then, get them out there.  I just finished a blog hop.  I got a couple new cartridges I am really looking forward to playing with.

See you all later.

Friday, July 22, 2011

I had this card laid out to put together on Wednesday, a  lot of other things came up at home, that needed my attention.  The whole idea behind this card is------ it is scrap -- I mean scrap---- they were little pieces left over, that should have been thrown out.  All except for the red is pure poppy from PTI- It really was scrap luckily it was a big enough piece to fit on the top of the A2 card-the twine was left ove from the smitten kitten card I made the other day the tag I cut out of scrap and used my MPS punny-licious stamp set on.
I thought this would be a great card to send to someone just to let them know what's up.

You 'll probably see me out and about later-- I had a meeting last night so I did not get much time on the web

I must have a streak going. I won over at frosted designs. This is my second week in a row.

Yesterday in the mail I got this from Carri over at Busy Bee
So this is what I made with the wins from Carri's

The love card
I don't know where I am going to enter this. I just made it to use the winnings I got yesterday

This is an A2 card I used a background piece of echo park, to make it fit the card I cut it in half and over lapped it
I cut out the love strip, taped it down
stamped the butterfly with jenni bowlin spice tin ink
added the rhinestone butterfly and dots, that was it, super easy.

Hope you liked the card,  Thanks for leaving a comment

More- Friday- Frosted designs

I revamped this card to meet the requiremnts of two challenges. I added the white satin ribbon on the bottom right corner and the  three buttons beneath.  I have to say I don't think it helped the card any, I think the buttons are too big and too orange in color OPO (one persons opinion) Now that I've done that I'm going to enter the card anyway I think I will go look for some smaller buttons that are more purple y -red.

The recipe for this card is on yesterday's post.

Frosted designs: use buttons(click here)
Picture perfect creations(click here) :  use two ribbon and three buttons

Happy Friday Morning everyone,

This week has flown by.  Yesterday I got a wooden stamp and some Bling in the mail (from one of my winnings)that I will probably use later today to make a sweet card. I got that from Carri over at A busy Bee . She has the cutest lollipop card you have to see it. I actually thought she put real lollipops on there Check it out come back and let me know what you.

I will see you all a little later.

Thursday- Morning Fabric

Remember the other day I told you I was playing around with the fabric and not much luck well here is my finished project I think it came out pretty darn cute. As you Know, I have a niece on the way in October.
I'm getting a head start. I will be crocheting a baby blanket and little hats (They all get that, I think they expect it), along with other goodies.  It was fun shopping for baby stuff the other day.

Here is the finished onsie and the card.
The card is an A2
I embossed swiss dots and added to it, then applied a ribbon and a bow to another strip of swiss dots and added with ATG tape
The sentiment was cut a 1.3
the onesie was cut @3.3
CEF: Swiss dots

I used steam a seam 2 the star is cut @4"
First I peeled the paper off the one side and pressed the steam a seam on to the fabric
cut the star out and then removed the paper from the other side and steamed it to the onesie: EASY PEASY

Thinking of crocheting made me think of this :
I just got word that the scarves  we knitted and sent to Zambia on a women's mission trip were received with High praise, singing and dancing to God, for us making them.
This qualifies for CC weekly challenge #36
I'm also linking this up to the TGIF linky party At   Craft Junky too

MONDAY- evening- another challenge

Hi All,
I spent a lot of time today trying to cut some fabric with the Cricut- very frustrating, I ruined a lot of very good fabric and came away with, no where close to getting a good cut able image. So I went back to paper and this is what I came up with. I have to say the Sizzix dies work a lot better with the fabric. I also got a good deal of de-hoarding done Wednesday is our Monthly Pick up from the charity truck that comes around.

I have quite a bit for them, but I also have some things for our local women's shelter. Those I will have to drive over.  hope you like my finished project.

I will be there in spirit because they will be flying banners from all the states as decorations whether I win any thing or not it will still be fun just being part of helping decorate- my banner is very simple and I used Birthday Bash @Fit to page , and then Destinations for my images the papers I used were AC card stock, Core'dinations and then my stash or should I say scrap. I used gold stickles on all the little scallops except for where the emblem of San Francisco is

FRIDAY- Yesterdays outing/ Design Idea

Hi Everyone,
I want to thank you all for your well wishes for my DT trial and stopping by to see my DT guest spot I was pretty excited for both of those. I was gone all day yesterday; Hubby and I went to Museum/garden,  here are a few shots. It is called FILOLI Gardens in Woodside CA. The soap opera Falcon Crest was filmed, (Has anyone seen it ? I think I saw it once or twice.)  it is also used for other movies and films. it was freezing - near San Francisco. There is a lot of history to the house and gardens. It is in the National trust for historic preservation. I like to go here- anytime of year the gardens change with the seasons this time was no exception, it was beautiful. Hope you are all having a good night.
Hugs Diana
