Good Morning Friends,

Before I announce the winner of the DL.ART THANKFUL THURSDAY #103 CHALLENGE.


I have some really sad, sad, sad news to share (at least from my perspective).  As you know yesterday I made a sympathy card.  Thinking I would add it to my stash, unfortunately I will need to send it.  Two police officers in our city were shot and died yesterday. I knew both of them. One was a 28 year veteran ready to retire, leaving behind a wife a son and two daughters.  The other a female officer leaving behind her partner and two small children she had been on for the SCPD for 10 years.  If you are a person of prayer I would just ask that you keep their families in your thoughts and prayers. This is the first time since our city was incorporated in the late 1800's that a police officer has been killed in the line of duty.
       We are a small community and this will  create a huge impact. 3 schools are located in the area where the shooting occurred  they were all locked down until the suspect was found (one was where I taught for many years)  Many agencies have stepped in to help, because of protocol and many different types of investigation.  If you are interested here is a link to the article and some videos.

Hi Friends,
Most of my day has been spent shredding and working on getting the shed back together. I almost moved something and I re-thought that, so I wouldn't hurt myself.

It took twice as long to do it the way I did, but then again if I would have hurt myself, it could have set me back for months. I am being more careful these days.  I am back to the health club 2x a week, not as often as I want, but it is good for now.

Good Morning Friends,

If you haven't seen me much this week it is because I have been trying to get to  the Health-club more often just to get some aerobics.  Last Saturday when I was there I got a 30 minute work out in and then the power went out, so they closed the health club. I met up with DH and we went out to eat  (that helped the work out). The company that bought the health club has put in all new equipment and I could not find my usual sit-up machine boo- hoo. I know this may sound crazy to you but I usually do 250 sit-ups.  I will probably have to find an instructor to show me a machine that is similar, because I don't want to hurt my shoulder any more.  Which brings me to ---- I will be back in Physical Therapy next week.   I think that is better than being in surgery.  Ok enough you came here to see who the winner is right?

I really like the Authenticate Paper and when I bought this I also bought one for my self.  Actually ,it was the other way around I bought one for myself and them i thought this would be great to give away also.

I hope you all are geared up for a fun weekend- I have PT tomorrow so I hope I am not hurting too much afterward.  I really want to get working on some artsy stuff. A few of the things you have seen the last couple of weeks I had made ahead of time.  Now I am back to square one.

We are looking a cool weather for the weekend, our mornings are in the high 50's and the days get to be about 73, my kind of weather. No need for air conditioning.
