Happy Birthday

Click here for my GIVEAWAY (ends tonight at midnight)

CLICK HERE for the DL.ART Thankful Thursday #104 challenge ending March 12, 2013

Good Morning Friends,

Did you miss me yesterday?

If you follow me, you know my Tuesdays are one of my busiest days.  I will give you an update on what is going on:  I have had to monitor my comments, because of some not so nice people leaving comments that I do not like to read, let alone have any of you read.  It really is disturbing that people would send that kind of comment. You know they are not artists, crafters or even interested in art.  The last couple of days I have had over 1,000 comments to go through and they have had nothing to do with arts or crafts. Further more,  You my friends ended up in my spam folder.  Your comments have been sifted through and should be on my blog now.  Yeah. Thanks for all your sweet comments.

I will keep monitoring them for awhile, I really don't like to do this.  I like the comments to go to my blog as soon as someone comments, but I know you all understand.

There is more, but I will fill you in on Friday

On a happier note --- A friend of my from college is celebrating her birthday in a few days and I had to make her a card so here it is.
Tomorrow begins the DL.ART THANKFUL THURSDAY MARCH LINKY PARTY--
Anything goes and you can enter anything you  have made in March of this year and as many pieces as you like!

I used the Yummy cartridge, stickles, and a  copic liner pen

APRIL 18, 2012***WEDNESDAY***HAPPY BIRTHDAY***

Hi!! Me again,
Another post, I know crazy me, but remember I told you I was going to pop the balloons on there to give it extra layering.  Well, I did I cut them from lyrical letter that is a super cartridge there are a lot of other shapes on there that you would never expect, being a font cartridge and all.

So well I was snooping around the blogs I found it is Madison's 17th birthday, if you get a chance go wish her a happy birthday. She is such a sweet heart, with compassion beyond her years.
 Happy Birthday Madison

Yesterday was awesome, it was a beautiful warm day, we were outside most of the time for the -HPC- (Homeless project Connect)
When I got home I sat in the chair and slept for over an hour and never moved.  I must have been exhausted. I met a new friend named Josh he is 4  and we colored together.  We both share green as our favorite color.  When we said good bye  he asked, " Will I ever see you again?"
My heart could have just melted, " I replied I sure hope so."
Kids just say the cutest things.

Challenge:

Have a blessed day.

Challenge make a card scrapbook page or other Cricut project with your favorite Cricut cartridge, using the specified colors above.

(I name the  challenge is called "Yummy Cool Refreshment")
Right now my favorite Cricut Cartridge is "YUMMY"(IC)The Recipe for this card is:
A2 size card  5.5x4.25( 5.5x 8.5(folded in half to give 4.25)
Card base PTI vintage cream
Chocolate brown (PTI) embossed with cuttlebug folder swirls
to which turquoise grosgrain ribbon was attached

The cartridge that I used was "YUMMY" for the Cricut imagine machine
I layered the ice cream cone
cone cut @3"---------and embossed with diamonds in the rough
each scoop was cut at 2"
The brown scoop was the color from the cart.
the orange scoop was from K &Co. patterned paper Hopscotch -- embossed with spots and dots
the green scoop was the color from the cart.

I cut a shape similar to the cone with the same paper as the orange scoop -- embossed with swiss dots.
smaller size in white and used "So Cool"
from the My Pink Stamper Stamp Set Punny-licious

The Popsicle next to the cone is from K& Co. Grand adhesion's Citronella.
I think it came out great I love the color combination.
I used 4 different embossing folders on this and I think it works real well with each element

I used ATG gun
and 3m Foam tape for adhesives

FRIDAY- MORNING- PAPER CUTZ CHALLENGE AND PEACHY KEEN CHALLENGE

I made this card for Paper Cutz Challenge, as  I was looking at it and  going through my stamps I thought this was the perfect sentiment- Isn't life just that much better with a good ice cream cone in it.  I 've just gotten these stamps of K. Andrew designs; this one is from the Positive thoughts collection and the charity that receives money for the sale of these stamps is Storefront Homeless  shelter for Children. I hope you enjoy my card  I'm going to post it right now. I used my YUMMY (IC) cartridge for this. I sure like this imagine machine I may just get rid of all my paper and all my machines..............NAH... I don't think so. I'll see you all later I know there are some hops going on and more fun stuff.

I have been having major issues with my computer. Hopefully it is just my server and not my computer.
Hugs see you all later.
I looked around and found another challenge to enter.  I added a PKS laughy taffy face and wah la another challenge  entered over at PKS
