Challenge #261 "Road trip"
Hello Everyone,
Day __95_ the Shelter in Place order:
We do not have one person in the hospital in our city with Covid-19. we have 255 confirmed cases and 201 recovered. Sadly 2 have died
I am trying to keep you all updated on the covid in our area. It is a benchmark for me when I look back. Yesterday we had a memorial service for one of our Santa Cruz county Sheriffs who was ambushed and killed on June 6, 2020. He leaves behind a pregnant wife and their 2 year old son. The incident made National news because it was related to another killing that happened in Oakland CA. Please keep these families in your prayers.
On to my card- Gas prices are super low right now, but there is no where to go. You can still make a road trip project and get yourself all excited about traveling when the time comes. Next year will be here before you know it and all will be good.
I have seen so many acts of selfless kindness from strangers and hope for a bright future in the joyful sounds of children playing. If you look for the good in everyday and you are grateful for what you have you will feel blessed.
Have you ever been to the Grand Tetons National Park?
My card is a 5 x 7
110# card base all images are from "you are here" CTMH
I made it more like a scrap book page that a card the lined background paper is from CS.
I used that for the look of a journal page
Hello Everyone,
Day __88_ the Shelter in Place order:
We do not have one person in the hospital in our city with Covid-19. we have 239 confirmed cases and 197 recovered. Sadly 2 have died
we are in phase 2.5 of the SIP - we are opening up !!! Indoor dining, I haven't done it yet
How is it in your city?
My card was so fun to make I used the CC "pack your bags" and changed some of the colors, but then after putting the card together I did not like the color of the font I chose, so I used copics to change it again.
the card measures 5.5 x 4.25
Remember this from last few week
************************************************************ Are any of you binge watching Netflix?
or other streaming formats?
I am watching reruns of star trek series. One a night
Making ribbon, buttons, cards and filling orders.
I do believe the social distancing is the key!
Yes, I miss my friends, but not at the cost of others losing their lives.
As of this week it is mandatory to wear some sort of face mask while in businesses- I don't own one, but I am going to make one this week. I have ordered some fabric and plan on making a lot for our local hospitals-- just doing my part.
STAY HOME! STAY SAFE!
until JUNE ? (For now)
Are any of you wearing a mask?
and if so leave your pattern link in the comments
and where you get your fabric
***************************************************************************
UPDATE
June 10: looks like restaurants are partially opening more stores are open to walk in and shop and then our Mall has opened also. Just in time I think I need some new stretchy pants (LOL)
May 27: on the above. I cut out the masks - and made three, tried to find elastic to make more, no one has any
Next week we move to phase 2.5 we move into another phase of opening up. Sit in restaurants still out of the question.
More people are out and about
June 7 our church had drive through communion
I found out May 27th that our church will not open until mid August.
