Happy August!!!!

Welcome to the DL.ART August 2021 Linky challenge

How was the month of July for you? I sure hope it was good and you are having all kinds of fun.  Our gym has opened up for no mask wearing. It felt so good to get back to working out.

Do you remember last month my Cricut bit the dust?  The pen holder was not holding the pen correctly, Cricut folks told me how to fix it, but it wasn't what they thought it was. As I continued to explain what it was. The one lady asked someone else there and they sent me some literature on how to fix it.  It took awhile and I had to take the machine apart, but I was able to fix it. I am so glad I did not have to get a new machine yet. There are a few other things I need at this point.

Have you had to repair anything lately?

#1. If so, what was it?

#2. What is your favorite part about summer?

#3 Do you make any special project in August?

  1. Hi Diana! Happy Birthday greetings to your hubby and early wishes to you!! We have two August birthdays that I make cards for: one of my (6) nephews who will be 21 this year! And a cousin who always gets my butterfly cards. She has the most gorgeous butterfly garden in her entire backyard (as well as bird houses where she gets owls & other birds to nest). I did have one shelf peg break - it was holding a lot of paper! So I had to have hubby fix that and then rearrange that shelf to not hold so much paper. Not fun! Nothing special about our summer, but we're going to the Grand Canyon, Bryce & Zion at the end of September for 8 days. We're looking forward to that (& not so hot weather as it is now!). Have an awesome day!! Becca xoxo

  2. Hi Diana, repair anything...hmmm..I'm thinking..no. I enjoy ice cream, iced coffee and BBQ during the summer. I am more of a Fall & Winter person..yeap! The Spring is alright. I think I am going to work on birthday cards. Happy Birthday to your hubby and to you my friend!! Have a wonderful BIRTHDAY month!!

  3. Great news about being able to fix your Cricut! I always hate tossing something that still works, except for one part of it. As for fixing something recently, I recently re-glued the thermo-foil coating along a kitchen cabinet door that was starting to peel. It looks as good as new now, which is a relief.
My favorite part of summer is watching my grandkids play in their backyard with water and the hot tub.
No special projects in August that I don't do all year round.
Happy birthday to you and your husband Diana!!

  4. Hello Diana, Just link up a card. Glad Cricut helped you fix your problem. I think it's fun that you ask questions. Here are my answers.

#1 The only thing that I can think of that I have repaired is the handle on my Cuttlebug. It falls of from time to time.

#2 My favorite part of Summer is when my grandkids are off for Summer break. I love spending extra time with them.

#3 I don't have any special projects in August. I do try to work on some birthday cards for September.

Hope you have a great week!

  5. Hello, Diana! Thank you for the new linky for August! Your dino card is super cute! Such fun inspiration! In answer to your questions, no repairs (yet) but my car A/C has stopped working so I'm getting a quote. It will probably be too expensive to get fixed, but I'll wait and see. The car is 10 years old but other than the A/C, it's a great car and I'm planning to keep it. My favorite part about summer is getting outdoors and walking, but only when it's not too hot. No special projects in August for me. Same old, same old; actually not doing much crafting. Have a great month, my friend!

  10. Have you had to repair anything lately? No. I had to get a new phone because my old one was not repairable.

My favorite part about summer is the longer days.

I don't make anything too special. I only have a few birthdays in August.

Thanks so much for the chance to win.

  11. I love your card!!! I haven't had to repair anything lately.

My favorite part of summer is the daylight savings and not needing boots!! (I live in Michigan lol)

I'm already working on Christmas cards!!

  12. Love that someone at Cricut went the extra mile and got the information you needed to fix your cricut pen holder Diana. With 3 kids, things break all the time but I can't think of anything specific at the moment. As for summer, my favorite part is ice cream and fruit juice bars. I usually start thinking about back to school projects and teacher cards in August. Let's see if I can spare the time to work on a few!

    1. I told them I had rebuilt a car engine, She said well I believe you will be able to fix this then, and so they sent me the info on how to fix it.

There was quite a bit of reading to do and the fact that my printer wasn't working good made it difficult to read. After I got that fixed. I had to take my printer apart and fix it also - everything is working now.
