Good Morning Friends,

We had a very hot weekend!!! 101 this is unusual for us and we do not have air conditioning.  I went to the gym and even our gym does not have AC, needless to say I only got 2.25 miles in, too hot to do anymore.  We are going to be 86 today ---- perfect.  Here is my card for today. The stamp set I used is "reason to smile"-- PTI and the technique is from a video by Ashley Canon Newell. I like how she describes the technique and makes it so easy.
I used versamark onyx black and the rest of the ink is CTMH sunset and sweet leaf

Have a blessed day, Diana

Happy Monday 9-9-13

Happy Monday,

I say that because I love Mondays! It is new beginnings, a new week, new things to learn and new things will be happening. To me it is a shorter version of the changing of the seasons, but longer than the changing of a day. I love it !!
And with it, I bring you a new card.  I placed an order with PTI last month and I qualified for this free stamp set so I am using it. It is called "reasons to smile".

The embosssing powder I used is from Creative inspirations paint.  I used platinum, gold sparkle and metallic copper. You can see the gradation effect  on the photo below.

I dusted some of the powder off, but because it is fall I decided to leave a little on there to give it the feel of leaves falling.  The inks I used are ripe avocado for the leaves, terra cotta tile for the flowers and dark choclate for the centers of the flowers. I stamped thes on Stampers select white card stock cut at 3.50 x 4.75 and then mounted it on to a piece of terra cotta tile cut at 3.75x 5 and then Atg'd it on to kraft card stock. I finished off the inside with a strip of terra cotta tile and a round stamped smile in terra cotta tile

Now it is ready to go. I love using the fall colors.
