Good morning Friends,
I have not been around the blog much this week I have tried to comment and have been keeping up with my posts.
I have not been focused on blogging this past week.
Yesterday was a very emotional and long day. This is what I did. One thing that was really overwhelming to me was the support and love the community poured out as we left Santa Cruz to go to San Jose. There was no place large enough to hold the amount of people that would be attending this memorial. It was held at the HP pavilion in San Jose (this is where the Sharks hockey team play). The streets were lined with people holding signs, flowers, flags, and hearts. As we approached bridges, they were full of people, waving flags, holding banners and many with their hands over their hearts and firemen standing on top of their trucks saluting as the motorcade went by.
This news stations reporting is very accurate to what it was like there.

As a former resident of Santa Cruz my husband and I have been following this tragic event. Our hearts are breaking for the family and friends of these officers and it is a terrible reminder of how dangerous their jobs are. Thank you for posting this, so sad.
