Good Morning Friends,
Another day to be thankful for. Yesterday was just beautiful it was almost 80 degrees here, I spent most of the day working on ATC's and laundry. I had a lot of mail when I got home from my trip some of it was junk, but some of it lifted my spirits. One of my dear friends, Diane from college sent me a Halloween card.
Here it is:
I have made cards as far back as I can remember, and my goal in life was always to be an artist. She really is the one who inspired me or should I say created a monster out of me with this card making epidemic. I am working hard to convince her to start a blog. I try to make my cards as professional as possible, being an exhibiting artist, I usually have cards of my paintings for sale at my shows, if it is allowable and I have been doing this since the 80's.
Next, (I'm actually not sure what was next it was all in a pile for me to open) I received a Thank you card from Amy over at Amys crafting space Isn't this beautiful, I just love the embossing on the kraft card stock, the tree in the middle has a bit of texture I think it is just the sweetest card ever, maybe because what she wrote inside was just too sweet. I am thankful for you to Amy. Check out Amy' blog if you get a chance, she is so creative and sweet.
Then, I opened a card from Lisa, it has such a beautiful fall look to it, I just love the flowery paper, but the element in the middle with the stamp on it is something I need. What is that Lisa? The really funny thing is, I look on the back wishing there was a recipe on how the card was made and what products were used. Wouldn't that be fun?
Along with it was my winning from a blog hop, a stamp set of inkadinkadoo butterflies--- I love this set-- and I don't have it and I almost bought it.
I'm on this kick right now making background paper -- This will be great, I'm going to use it today. I'll post it later. Make sure you check out Lisa's blog (Click Here) she has some awesome work.
I also got a stamp set from Joys Life -- Mother & daughter stamps, this was a win from the Link up for pink link up party.
On a sad note one of my Knit wit friends passed away while I was in MI. the memorial was yesterday. Oh-- On a happy note my niece had her baby girl on Monday, a Halloween baby, Leila Jane, very healthy. I'll post some pics when I get them.
What I have to say about giving --- It seems to me the more I give the more I get- It really amazes me. The things I receive have so much meaning to them, which reminds me of the goodness in human nature.
So on to the GIVEAWAY
I have come to the conclusion that everyone likes the Starbucks Gift Cards, so a $15 Starbucks gift card and these cute little gift card enclosures that I just made---- a set of 6, ends November 14 @midnight
