Welcome to May
Welcome to the DL.ART MAY 2022 linky challenge
Hello Everyone,
We were really thrilled to have some much needed rain this last month? Spring is in the air, flowers are blooming birds are chirping, life is good.... Which brings me to my project. This time of year and mother's day coming up always reminds me of flowers and Mom's. I decided to go totally different direction than I normally work
For those of you who don't know or have joined in my blog late, here is some info on me. I have a B.S. degree in Graphic design, and a degree in studio art. My grad studies are in higher education. Every so often I get a bug to design something other than cards with die cuts. I will probably venture this way a lot more now. I have also been doing a lot more art.
So here it is a steam punk card for mothers day.
What do you think? Let me know if you are trying new things these days.
What are you working on this month?
On to the challenge: As always anything goes
Your steampunk Mother's Day Card is beautiful, Diana! It's fun to try something different! This month I have a few Guest Designer cards to make and I'm also working on junk journals as gifts for family. Thanks for your new link-up for May - I just added my first card and I'm sure I'll be back a few more times this month. Have a great May, my friend!
ReplyDeleteOoh, love your steampunk card Diana. It's especially fun, as many Mother's Day cards are the usual hearts and flowers. My own mother has been gone for some years now, but I make and send Mother's Day cards to my daughter, and to my two sisters. We have a few family birthdays this month as well, including my own, but most of my cards will be birthday cards for an online birthday group that I'm a part of, and various challenges that catch my eye. Have a wonderful month ahead Diana, and I'm happy to see that you're having fun with your paintings and other art pieces!
ReplyDeleteGreat card you made - I would have said Victorian Steam Punk. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking Victorian Steam Punk. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI love your Steampunk card!! Wow for awhile I made a ton of steampunk projects but it's been ages. I should go back to that. This month I'm starting the baby book for my new niece or nephew as we will soon know which we'll be getting :) I've had a terrible week in respect to creating though, hope I can pull it together in the end!
ReplyDeleteLove your steampunk card!!! <3 I'm trying to used up a lot of my "old" stuff that I just needed to have, and have never touched!! See how long my resolve lasts!!
ReplyDeleteI've just moved back into our house after a major addition and renovation, so just trying to get set up again so I can start creating. I can't wait to be done with all these boxes and dust!
ReplyDeletewow, I love your steam punk design, so classy for this style! and I love watching at your Earth painting every day. this month I am making a lot of cards for Holly Sacraments, also new for me.
ReplyDeletesending crafty hugs xx
I find Steampunk very challenging but I love the style. I've been working on learning Modern Calligraphy and a doodle a day. I haven't had time for much card making! Thanks so much for hosting.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to see your fabulous skills and talents at work, Diana! Steampunk for Mother's Day is fun and very cool! Thank you for another linky party!!
