CLICK HERE for my DL.ART Thankful Thursday challenge ending September 8

Good evening friends,

Did we get a lot done today. I'm going through files and files that need to be shredded, what a fun and good feeling.  I'm so glad I am doing this, I would not want someone else to have to do this,

I will fill you in more on that tomorrow. I have to get this posted so I can relax and watch a movie. We just got back from dinner.  I guess you could call tonight  dinner and a movie.
After  dinner on our way home you could see the fog moving in by the time we got home it was 45 degrees, it gets pretty cold here on the Coast. Now we have our city back, tourist season ends on labor day.

Now, I have a fun card to share with you.

Is this the cutest little alien you have ever seen?
I love the BBTB2 challenges and I like showing my support for the wonderful team over there, so this is for their challenge. Life's a party is the name of the cartridge I used.. I made this for a couple of other challenges also they are listed below. I thought about it and if this little character is an alien in a space ship then, then the career on the other planet would have to be astronaut. Do you agree?

Good Afternoon Friends,
Last year for the back to school challenges that were floating around I made the above treat boxes, I just love them.  I didn't think I could even come up with anything better. I remembered last year buying this chalk board paper. Yes, How often do you need chalk board paper?

So, for this year for the back to school challenges, I wanted to give it a less sophisticated and more elementary school look, so I went for the primaries. Yep! Red, yellow, blue and because green is my favorite I had to throw it in the mix.  Instead of using chalk I used Creative Inspiration paint"winter Frost", my friend Jessica from Chick n-scrap sent me.

I knew when I got this paint that I would be using for the next creative inspiration challenge no matter what it would be.

The funny thing also is the treat box came together super easy after having made it a few times.

HAPPY NEW YEAR- WELCOME TO THE DL.ART 1 YEAR BLOGAVERSARY

HAPPY NEW YEAR,

Thank you for joining in on my first ever Blog Hop and 1 year anniversary of my blog DL.ART, which is known as a Blogaversary.  It all started when I thought there must be a better way to make cards than always cutting these images out with scissors, my quest for the best pair of scissors ended when I started doing research on  die cuts. I could not believe it when the Cricut create came out I had to have it. First I needed to know how to use it.
I came across a funny lady on the internet by the name of Robyn of  MY Pink Stamper.  Her videos were so funny I laughed so hard, sometimes, but they were also informative. She also had her side kick Karlee (BFF) with her and between the  two of them, they made the decision/learning process easy and fun for me.

Six months after I had the create I knew I needed to upgrade to the  expression, because with the purchase  of the  tags, bags boxes and more cartridge. The images were cut too small to be useful on the 6x12 mat.
My next addition was the gypsy-- I don't leave home without it. The imagine and the expression2 came at about the same time. I had ordered the Expression 2 from HSN and a couple days later I saw the Imagine at a price I just could not pass up. I use them all and sometimes, they are going at the same time --- I am surprised I haven't blown a fuse yet.

The latest thing I have ventured into, is the Cricut craft room. I even cut part of my project out and then it stopped --I think there is a software glitch, hopefully by the time you read this post, it will be worked out.

Last year on January 1st, I decided that my goal  for the year would be to start a blog and post every day. I did it!!!  and then some. Some days I posted more than 3 times, and over the year 2011, I have posted _625__    times.  I don't know what got into me
I really was not sure I would be able to keep up with  the blog due to trips, the computer mishaps and even with my blog becoming disabled at one point.  I have to say this has been a fun year and I value each and everyone of you, not just as followers, but friends. I follow a lot of you and I consider myself your friend. The most exciting part about this blog hop to me is,  that this funny Lady that helped me learn to use my Cricut is the main SPONSOR of  my blog hop. I am so thrilled. Thank you Robyn-- alias MY PINK STAMPER.

Through out the hop there will be designers, that will have words, that are clues to the project, that you will need, to be able to decipher what the challenge is:  you will have  until January 6, 11:59 PST to link up, for a chance to win the Sweet tooth boxes cartridge.

You know I love coffee,  What better way to say thank you, than to give Thank You Coffee Cards. This card was so super easy. I used imagine more cards (IC) I sized it to 3". I changed the red hearts to pink, pressed auto-fill. The imagine printed and cut 9 of this image from a 12 x12 sheet of Bazzill white card stock and then I just glued them on PTI new leaf card stock. EASY PEASY!

Because I am giving away the sweet tooth boxes cartridge I thought it only fitting to make a project from this super cool cartridge.

MONDAY- AND SOME CHALLENGES

Hi All,
Almost 5:00 here -- where has the day gone?

Here is a card I've been working on for a few challenges. My nephew is an avid Tigers fan and I love the BBTB2  Click Here challenges so I was happy to incorporate the two. Now this will go out in the mail tomorrow.

I'm also entering this into Frosted Designs  Click Here  Challenge: to have a clock - I put mine on the inside I hope it fits the challenge.
Cards for men -challenge: anything goes click here

I used Tim Holtz distressing ink in Antique linen to give the ball the look like it had been used. I wrote Al Kaline on the ball as close as possible to the way he wrote it, when he autographed the base balls
I used coredinations and AC card stock.
I used Lifes a party for the baseball and Blackletter for the "D"

iris blue ink-- chalkbox
stamp: stampendous
sakura white gel for the inside
I also cut the bottom so the card would sit flat for display
I hope He likes it.

FRIDAY--

Hi Everyone,

Just got back from a trip to Michael's-- 50% off coupon good for today and tomorrow. It is a 45 mile one way trip for me to go to M's so obviously lunch is always involved.  I don't have a lot of time to Blog, because two hours from now I am hostessing an art Gallery Exhibit. The first Friday of every month all the art Galleries in the county are opened to the public for free. It is quite an event and tonight is my night to Man (woman) the S. C. Art League Gallery.

I'm posting  this project I made and tomorrow I planning to post the video with instructions on this project and my M's haul. It was great-
Oh yes and I have not 1 but 2  giveaways coming up check back tomorrow I'll tell you all about them
