Hi Again Friends,

Here is a quick post.  Here is a sketch that looks difficult, but it really isn't. i decided to take it a bit further and where the dark are is I put a window.

The challenge over at Docerela Creations closes in a few days and there are only a couple of entries 

your chances of winning are really increased if you are just among a few.

Can you have too many valentine's cards this time of year?

That background paper there is from Graphics 45.

My card is really 3x3, but the image is rather large and goes over the edges. Wouldn't this make for a nice treat bag topper. I think that is what they were originally intended for, but this series reminds me if the little kiddy cards I got from my classmates when I was young. Seeing as it is Sunday I thought it would be fitting to have a Valentine card with an Angel on it. This is just the sweetest don't you think?

This is another one of those Treasure box designs. I printed quite a few of them. The goopy stuff in the middle is wet glossy accents. I started to photograph this upright until I noticed the glossy accent moving down the page, so I put it flat to photograph it. I am pretty happy with it. It was easy aa could be.

I came across this site probably when I first started blogging and totally forgot about it because I have so many cricut cartridges, but it sure is fun to find new images. I fussy cut the scalloped circle and the ground hog.  I think this is where having a program that cuts SVG images would come in real handy

Happy Monday Friends,

I don't know about you, but I really like Super Bowl Sunday. Do YOU?

I like football. I thought both teams played really well yesterday and now we have new champions. 

Here is my quick post for today. I doubt I will get to be back on here later, because I have gotten a bit behind this past week, so I will have to make up for it today, because the rest of my week is very full.

I hope you all have a wonderful week. Stay warm -- oh yes on that note -- it is getting cold here again and may snow in the Santa Cruz mountains toward the end of the week.

I love you card was made from the negative space of my heart left over from last weeks project. The cartridge I used for that was Beyond birthdays.

Good Afternoon Friends,

Met with my knit wit group today and more sad news, one of my friend's husband passed away.  He had been battling lung cancer for awhile and  is now free of the pain.  You will be seeing yet another sympathy card very soon. :-(

Now onto a happier note, Be Mine ...... I used all Kraft card stock for this card  and an action wobble on the heart. I love how this card came out.  I  am so glad it does not look like a Christmas card which is what I thought might happen, given that I was using red and green.

and all the other papers are recollections from Michael 's, an action wobble,  a heart punch and hemp

Hi Friends,

 This has really been a tough week.  On Saturday one of my knit wit friends, who had been in the hospital was not doing to well, the next next day I got a call from another knit wit saying she was really having a hard time breathing and was just diagnosed with asthma. Two hours later I got a call that she was home with the Lord.  Life is so short.  On Wednesdays I meet with my knit wit group and we had a small memorial there for her along with our regular knitting session. Our friend's (who passed away) son and his wife showed up to listen in and be part of what his mother experienced every week with us.  We all laughed and cried during this time of sharing what his mother meant to each and everyone of us.  and we still got some knitting done. 

Her memorial service will be Saturday at 1:00- ( for those of you know Janet and are going e-mail  or call me, I will get  the info to you).

On a more personal note I had an MRI last night for my shoulder injury I am still waiting for the results I will keep you all up dated-- They said I was the most still patient they have ever had--- I guess it is because I fell asleep in there (ha ha) -- it was so cozy.

Any way here is a card I made I love Valentine's day.

FEBRUARY 11, 2012*** ANOTHER MY PINK STAMPER BLOG HOP/CHALLENGE****

Good Afternoon Friends,

The embossing is done with a Marvy  roller gadget, I don't know how else to describe it-- It is the precursor to the embossing folders. I was going through my arsenal of art supplies and  thought I would give it a try. It came out pretty good I noticed the indentation is not as deep as with the embossing folders. I used PTI stampers white and Kraft. The other paper is handmade silk and cotton. The ribbon is offray. The circle flower is cut from Cricut cartridge flower shoppe. The 2 sentiments are both from My Pink Stamper "Lunch Box Thoughts " stamp set. I wanted to use the I love you, but I can't seem to find it. This one I think I may have vaccuumed up because I remember putting it back and it fits at the very bottom of the set.
I vacuumed my art room just before we left for five days  Boo Hoo if it turns up I will let you know.
I also used stickles and puff paint on the flower.
I love Valentines, I love making the hearts and I love seeing everyone all lovey dovey when their oout and about. Love is truly in the air.

I am almost done with my 90 candy treat holders, I'm not doing 90 of the mailboxes. just the treats- I am fitting it in between cooking, cleaning, and laundry.  Going away for 5 days sure put me behind.

This is a close up of the middle of the card. This is a pretty substantial card because of all the layering 

For this A2 sized card, I used 5 different patterned papers and the solid red from the yours truly collection.

JANUARY 30, 2012 **** MONDAY*** A VALENTINES CARD

This is a 3x3 Valentines card
I used Hammer mill 110  for the card base
The patterned papers are Echo Park Yours truly which you can purchase @ shop pumpkin spice
The Be mine is written with Sakura white opaquegel pen at a great price.
Everything else is printed and cut on the imagine @ 2.8.

I am entering this into:

I made this for my friend Cely over in Hawaii she loves Hello Kitty so it is on its way. I will leave it blank inside in case she would like to use it at some point.( like in a couple of weeks lol)

JANUARY 25, 2012 **** WEDNESDAY*** A REMAKE OF AN OLD FAVORITE

 

I am remaking a card from last year I chose this one for the simplicity of it.
The Before: A Christmas themed card

and the after: A Valentines Themed card

 I am very happy with the way it came out. It is the second shaker card I have ever made. I used
It is an A2 card. I Used PTI Vintage cream card stock and ribbon and pure poppy. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper "Lunch box Thoughts".
The hat pin is from K& Company
This is a card on top of a card and you can write you own sentiment inside.
