Good Morning,
Celebrate the Occasion (CLICK HERE) is celebrating Veteran's day this week.  What an honor to thank  a man/woman  for their service to our country. I used coredinations for the card base, PTI basic white, then everything else was printed on AC cardstock from the Imagine cartridge.
I hope you will consider joining us by  submitting a project you have until Sunday November13th  at 11:59 p.m..
Before you do that check out all the other designers blogs for their project this week, to be inspired and then be sure and leave them a comment.
I appreciate every comment and read everyone of them.
Have a great day.

MONDAY- Morning- experimenting with reverse applique or better known as Mola in the Kuna Indian culture in Central America

Good Morning Everyone,
I do apologize if I have not been visiting all of you, but I do have a good excuse when I'm not posting I am working on an art exhibit. Hopefully after December 7th I will have a bit more time.
I bought this leaf print paper about a month ago and just love it coordinates so well that once I chose my design I know I don't have to look around and try to match up different papers from different stacks. It makes a world of difference in the time it takes to finish a project. I used faux stictching for this project. I was going to pull my sewing machine out, but realized it would take more time to just get it out than to do the faux stitching and because I am not wearing this, so the strength of the stitch does not matter.

PTI papers Ripe Avocado, spring moss Harvest Gold, patterned paper.
The cuts I used are from my Quickutz squeeze. (this tool has been sitting on the wayside for quite some time.)

I hope you enjoy this card.

Sunday Night-- some challenges

I made this with PTI basic white and vintage cream card stock DCWV from sweet stack. I stamped happy birthday with versamark onyx black ink  and the sentiment and little cakes are from Stampin' up birthday bakery set that I won over at pinkblingcrafter,  thanks Norma-- This is the cutest set ever.  I colored the cakes with prismacolors.
I am entering this in
the paper variety-something funny
birthday sundaes: Birthday

SUNDAY - Hello- butterflies and snowflakes

Here is one more of those stamped backgrounds -- What do you think?

I made this back ground paper from the butterfly stamp set that I got in the mail the other day. I used Jenni Bowlin inks lemon drop, malted milk and soap powder. I then when back in with the snowflakes from the Thersa Collins Christmas home set and using brown sugar and spice tin, stamped in a few of each to get this beautiful background paper. All the card stock used is paper trey ink, basic white and harvest gold. The grosgrain ribbon is powder blue form Offray.

I hope you like this card, I think it has a very country French feel to it.
