Good Morning again Everyone,
Sad but true, I know I will be needing some of these this year so I am going to make a few for future use.
I tried to keep the card somewhat monochromatic with a tone on tone, with ink matching the paper . I used PTI melon berry with Jenny Bowlin chicken feed ink. The flower stamp is from Autumn leaves
I used vintage cream for the top label the sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo. It is placed on top of another label, cut from My Minds Eye, a Beautiful life. I used stickles star dust to place a little dot in the center of the flower.
I think it is a very pretty sympathy card (MIM #16)without being dreary.

Yes, it's time to refill my stash box with all those unfortunate cards we all dread to make...
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me....
Love the CAS card.... just perfect!
Diana, this is so pretty! You're right about needing them in our stash. I also wanted to tell you thank you again for the beautiful papers. They are lovely and can't wait to use them:)
ReplyDeleteI think it is a very nice sympathy card. Let's hope you don't need it too soon.--Pat N.
ReplyDeleteIt is so pretty. It is unfortunate that we "need" to make these cards, but on a positive note, they will brighten someone on a dark day. :O)

Beautiful card Diana. Love the monochromatic colors. This is one card I do not like to make. Making them for the stash is a good idea...that I can do. Sorry to hear you have to use one.
ReplyDeleteTake care!

Great card and love your sentiment and the way you layered it. Unfortunately, I can't get ahead with my sympathy stash. My goal for 2012 is to get cards made in advance that are usable. I hate rushing around at the last minute because I don't have an appropriate card made.
ReplyDeletebeautiful! These are always the hardest to make!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely card - simple and elegant, and just the way a sympathy card should be. I find sympathy cards the most difficult to make. Thanks for sharing your idea.
ReplyDeleteThis card is beautiful. I always find it difficult to make cards for this type of occassion, but you did a great job...

A lovely sympathy card. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteA very comforting card. Love how you placed the label on top of the label.
ReplyDeleteThese are hard to make, but using a cheerful color helps, doesn't it? I think the recipient will appreciate it as well. Great job on the challenge. Happy New Year. :-)
