I am amazed at how many entries I had in the last challenge which is is still going on Click Here for  that challenge.

Theme: Scrap card

 What is a scrap card: these are scraps that were left over from this weeks projects. I just placed them on card stock in a way that I thought was appealing. This is what I came up with. I think I am a semi- hoarder I had a lot of scraps when I started cleaning my art room, I was really have trouble throwing them out I kept looking at them, finally I had to take the bull by the horns and be ruthless and just throw them out. Thankfully it was trash night they are gone forever.  It is a good feeling.

Hi All,

More of the same. I took a break from all the cleaning and made some awesome chocolate chip cookies, and just had one.  They were good all right.

Good evening friends,

I'm into spring cleaning this weekend--- not sure if I will get any crafting in. When I'm done I should have a pretty well organized art room (YEAH RIGHT)- I haven't even stepped foot in there yet. Today was the kitchen and the cabinets. Now I am going to start on the Laundry room.  See you all later- oh I did get a hop in early this morning. HAVE A GREAT MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.

MAY 25, 2012***FRIDAY*** GUEST DESIGN SPOT*** Little Scrap Pieces

Good Morning Friends,

My Friend Karen at little scrap pieces asked me to be a guest designer a while back and I am so thrilled to be a part of this.
 I won this Provo craft die cut on her blog a few months ago and we both decided we would post a project made from this die and use red.

 here is the one I came up with: (up above)
I hope you like it. I used three of the dies from the set and various patterns of paper some from Echo park and some from PTI
This is an A2 card and the stamps are from Inkadinkadoo and the ink is onyx black from Versamark

This is a 5x7 card

I used spellbinders and flower shoppe and Me & my big ideas K& Co papers , PTI card stock
I put silver liquid pearl in the center of the flower.   I inked the edges of the flower and  and turned the tips up for dimension.  Here is a sneak peak

I am thankful I am here today and I am thankful the computer is working today.  I have been having a few glitches with the computer and blogger and I was not well yesterday.

Today is my design day over at Pumpkin Spice Blog.
 I don't know if you have seen the new "Spicy Chic kit"  the featured kit of the month? Here is the card I designed from the nutmeg pad and I used " Be yourself..." sentiment from the My Pink Stamper Girlie sayings stamp set.

My image is from the French Manor cartridge and I put stickles on the crown of the peacock.

MAY 22, 2012***TUESDAY*** CONGRATS!!!!

Good Morning Friends,


Someone asked me yesterday if I ever got the bike ride in --- YES I did, unfortunately I did not get the whole work out in, but enough to justify sitting on my bottom the rest of the day.  I am suited up to go get my work out in at our health club.   They are in the process of remodeling our locker rooms and showers -- They have portable showers set up out side for our inconvenience ha ha!!

I have been coming home to shower, because the showers are a bit, well, how shall I put it disgusting. I am off now I will be back later to visit.

Last night I left some comments on my friends posts. and then when I came back they were not there. Is this Blogger doing this?

Do you think this could be my touch pad?     It does not happen when I leave comments from my computer only the TP (funny  that sounds like something else)

Hi again friends,

I did not get to do any art or crafting while I was gone, now I am making up for lost time.  I really missed it.
So here is another card that I will be needing, but it is also good for a few entries.

Whenever I make a guy card I have to remember no pearls no lace-- no frilly stuff. Most guys just really like the bare essentials. That is why this card is made very simply and with as few elements as possible.

I haven't used DCWV paper in a while, but this paper sure made making a guy card easy for me. This is called the guy stack -HELLO how easy could that be I added 2 imaginisce studs and a CONGRATS from the  Inkadinkadoo collection with versamark ink that is pretty much it this is a standard A2 card on Kraft card stock.

May 21, 2012***MONDAY***Again

Hey this is a quick one

I just wanted to get this post in .  So I could enter another challenge.

First of all I saw this photo at Easter, I thought it was really cute, but I never got a chance to post it and before you knew it, Mothers day was around the corner. I also thought of my bloggy friend Jessica (chick-n-scrap) who raises chickens and eats the fresh eggs. She also has a pretty awesome blog, give it a gander (or is that a goose?)  I guess I am feeling silly today
 Doesn't that sound yummy?
I do know these are ducks, but they still remind me of my friend who raises chicks.

Then speaking of yummy, wouldn't you just love some chocolate chip cookies.

I will be making cookies either today or tomorrow.  This guy sure looks like he's having a good time making cookies

MAY 21, 2012****MONDAY***BAKERY AND COLOR CHALLENGE

Good Morning again.

I had a little extra time before I hop on my bike to get another card done.

I have a goal this week to register all my cartridges and put in my awards points. I started to do that a couple of years ago , but PC would send a message this cartridge will take 72 hours to become registered. I would come back later try it again, same message, after three tries I gave up. My plan was to do ten cartridges a day. I figured I would be done in a few days. Well now I will try again, although I know it will take me a bit longer, the library of cartridges has grown. I'm probably looking at a few weeks to a month with weekends off

 A lot of bakeries have areas where you can sit and have a doughnut and coffee, That is my kind of bakery (which reminds me I better get on the bike) ha ha!

 So here  is my card
I used the "I love you a latte" cartridge and the imagine Vintage papers, using the gypsy.  I love the way it came out.

May 21, 2012***MONDAY*** GRADUATION

Good Morning Friends,

When this time of year comes around, it seems like everyone is gearing up for graduations and weddings, not to mention fun times on the beach.

When I think of graduation I think of  endless possibilities and new beginnings, that is why I came up with this card it is a bit different than most graduation cards. I do believe the sky is the limit and a person can become what they want to be, given the chance. Here is to all the graduates out there.

Good Evening Friends,


What a day -- I want to say I absolutely got nothing done today, but then I decided I had better think about that. I did get the ironing done and a couple of meals in. Spent most of the time on the phone with family.
I just love family and the memories they give. I Did not get any art/crafting done.  I am gearing up to go through my art/craft  stuff this week. Make sure to check out this Thursday's challenge as it may be a box full of things that are new but I don't use.  I am so blessed I need to share.  I am excited about it.

It was a beautiful day today 70 degrees very little wind. We went out for breakfast and had a great view. What more can I say.

MAY 19, 2012***SATURDAY*** HELLO CAS CARD

Good Evening Friends,

I was able to get a card made tonight. It is CAS

I'm getting dinner ready and doing laundry while I do this post, I guess I can still multi-task, after being dull from my trip.  What a fun trip, even though I am exhausted still because it was non stop. It was great to see my Best friend and spend a lot of time with my Mom and the rest of my family.

I can not believe it, I only took maybe 7 pictures and none of me with any of the family --- too busy having fun.


I used the imaginesce tool to add the studs to the felt negative background flower I used a sizzix die to cut the scallop and the flowers, the hello is from My Pink Stamper " The ribbon and the card stock are PTI.  I have to say the bow was made with Cathie's bow maker from the creative cutter room (I love it). I hope you like the card . I will visit later

Did I ever have fun with this kit. These are all hand stamped, colored and then fussy cut. My card is 6X6

Everything I used is from the kit. I love that the markers match the paper and they went on the Bazzill white paper like butter.  The ink is a very rich deep black I love it it works well on both the colored papers and the white.  I mixed the "Birthday Doodles" with the "Girlie Doodles", I have an Aunt that belongs to the red hat society and thought this would be a perfect gift for her
