Good Evening Friends,

I would have loved to have been here earlier, but this is the soonest I could get to my blog. We had a beautiful day here in the mid 70's and calm light breezes coming off from the ocean. Just got home from a late dinner and I really need to put my feet up for an hour or so and then I will be back to visit. In the mean time, I have a card that would love to be seen.   I am entering it an a few challenges. I think this might be the first time that I am using the PKS cute and cuddly faces I have had them for awhile. I just can't remember if I have used them or not. The new linky challenge will start on Thursday, but know that you can enter anything that was made in the month of MAY.

Good Morning Friends,


The conference was awesome! We actually had 210 attendees- oops I didn't have enough cards made. I met a lot of new women, the guest speaker was wonderful so down to earth and approachable. Everyone really liked the message she delivered and  felt very special.  I slept almost all day yesterday, except for eating, I felt like a cat.  Things should get back to normal now that the conference is over.  I do have a few small jobs coming up, but I have cut back this year because of the shoulder injury.  I am always thinking of someone, so I thought why not make another thinking of you card.  So that is what I did. I hope you like it.

Hi Friends,

Have you missed me?  This has been one super busy week.  Everything came together beautifully.  We had about 190 sign ups so a bit short of the 200. I thought this might happen that is why I decided to do the guessing game--   CLICK HERE  for more info.  Not all of the cards are alike, but they are similar.  I spent all day yesterday getting the room ready for the conference. I had an awesome team working with me and they would not let me move anything.  So I just directed them on my visions and they carried them out.   It was wonderful, I was so blessed.

This is the Mom's garden gifts from SVGcuts.com. I used a combination of card stock American crafts, coredinations and Graphics 45. The G-45 is secret garden wow what beautiful prints in this pack. I say that every time a new pack comes out.  This one is especially feminine and flowery, just perfect for Mothers day cards and projects

Here is a close up of the rose I made, it almost looks real. I will use this as part of my display on Saturday and then it is off to my mom for Mothers day.  (family: Try not ot show this to mom until it arrives)

I thought I would give you a reminder that Challenge #107 ends tonight at midnight -Rain  and I am popping in to show you a fun and easy  3-D project  I made for Fantabulous Cricut challenge and Bitten by the bug.

This is a cut from Tags bags, boxes and more 2 cartridge, it all cuts out on one sheet, because my paper was only one sided I colored the white side in brown with a copic marker and then drew the stripes on the tie, next time I will do the stipes before I asssemble the box, but for sure it looks like a hand made tie.

I used my expression 2 and cut the project at fit to page. I like how it came out. I made it for a guy. 

I used DCWV Natural stack for this project.

Hi Again Friends,


So I spent the good part of the morning looking for something -- and isn't it always the way? -- I found it in the last place I looked.  I almost went out to the warehouse.


I was experimenting today with embossing powder and pearl ex, once I found it ( now you know what I was looking for).  I have had this stuff forever and never knew what to do with it.  I mixed it with watercolor a few times and it was OK  but it seemed to take away from the pureness of the water color, at least  for the effect I was looking for at the time.

This is definitely an experiment, I am not too happy with the outcome, but I do like the bird, lets see what I come up with by the end of the week, although I ma still working on these cards in between everything, trust me, While dinners cooking I score and fold, while sitting in the car I cut ribbon, while watching TV  I cut ribbon add bling etc. I'm sure you get the picture-- it is called plodding along, I have a goal and it is a joy to make each and everyone of these cards for the women that will receive them.  If just one woman out of the 200 gets joy out of getting the card I am blessed by that.

I just love how the bird came out

The crown came out a bit smudgy I think my next experiment will be on a darker card stock.

Hi Friends,

Yesterday was not fun! I had a migraine-- ugh haven't had one of those in a while.   It was all I could do to look on the blog and publish the monitored comments.  Must be the change in weather, we had such a beautiful warm day yesterday.

I have 200 cards that I need to have finished by Friday for our annual women's conference, as of the 19th in the morning I had 2 done. Then we went out of town. Guess How many I had finished by the time I went to bed  Friday night?  See if you can guess-- Leave a comment and say how many you think I had finished and after the conference, I will send the the person that came the closest  a boxed set of 4 of the cards  I made for the conference.  Sorry I can't show them to you until after the conference as I want it to be a surprise to the women going -- some of you follow my blog.

If there is a tie, I will put the names in a bucket and pick  1 winner.
 You will have until Saturday midnight April 27th to put your guess in.

I do have a card here for the friendship challenge over at  my friend Janis site---Pause dream and enjoy.

I do think the dish running off with the spoon was a close friendship -- plus I had cereal this morning - so I know they a good friends.

I am just back quickly to enter a couple of card challenges.

I went out  for lunch today and had fish tacos maybe that's what made me think to make this fun card. This is my only stamp set from alley way stamps. Although I do have all their freebies and if you want them you can go here.

I am enter this in the Alley Way photo inspired challenge and the  Kraft journal --Clean and simple.

I used copic markers to color the stamped images and they are all from the Alley Way Stamps store.

I know you are all excited about this challenge and we get a lot of entries. I created this flower from a 
spellbinders die cut.


I used the Creative Inspirations shimmering paints to match the colors in the background of the
 patterned paper

The patterned paper I used is Graphics 45 Bird song

The colors I used that matched beautifully are gold, amethyst  and canary. The very center is a jeweled inspiration. I tend to like these a lot if you have noticed

Inside my lamp is a battery operated tea light that you can get almost anywhere for a couple of dollars

Happy Friday!!
My SIL is visiting out from Virginia today so we will be having lunch and spending the day together. We should have a lot of fun. This may include a trip to Michael's yeah for me-- as you know I don't see those big stores too often.
This was really a fun card to make!  For my city-scape I used Art Deco and the patterns are from Hey diddle diddle-- love love love this cartridge I have hoarded this cartridge and finally pulled it out to use this past week. The airplane image and the bon voyage are also  hoarded items a stamp set that I had purchased over at Docerela creations.  The cloud image is from Paper trey Ink " Asian Fusion" I stamped that with Jenni Bowlin soap powder and then stamped it again with smokey shadow. The plain is stamped with PTI classic  Kraft. The sun is also from hey diddle diddle and the strips of patterned paper are from Basic Grey's Lucille collection they were scraps

I thought I would just share a "just a note" card that I made at the Scrapbook Expo. I made three cards in the card making class and I think I have enough from the card kit to make 5 more. Very pretty papers and it was from Hot off the press card kit.  Did that hour ever go quick. This was a very fast paced class.
I highly recommend taking workshops when you go to the expo.
1. It keeps you from shopping--plus you usually get enough in the class to make up for what the class cost.
2. you may learn something new
3. You meet new people

I hope to meet some of you at the next one.

The paper has a real sheen to it and it is very thick, between card stock and chipboard - but fun to work with.

How did we get to Wednesday already?

I have been on the phone all day with various companies trying to get mechanical things working.
I have to say I have always had a great experience with the people and the service at Provo craft. Today I spoke with two women, both very helpful-- Amberlee and Michelle.   My imagine is working with the gypsy-- Thanks you two. I don't like having to call Provo Craft, but when I do it is always  a joy.  life is good and there fore you shall see my cute card-- I hope you love it like I do.

I just found out my nephew and his wife are having a baby, but I think this looks like a girl invite-- so I thhink I better make it a boy invite-- and change the onsie  and the bottle to blue.

I used the Hey Diddle Diddle imagine cartridge fore all the images an dimagine more cards for the background paper. I have creative inspration jeweled imspirations on top of the umbrella and stickles on the stars the ribbon is from 3 girl jam

and the mistakes and what I learned.

It is now Wednesday morning and here are the details
I used George and Basic shapes to die cut the letters and number-- I embossed the letter on AC textured white card stock with Creative Inspirations Deliquesce pink. The embossing powder did not want to stay on the  card stock.  In the future if I want it to stay on I will not use a textured card stock or I will try for a juicier watermark ink.  After being away from it all day, I like how it came out-- talk about CAS-- Yes it is definitely that.  The rainbow image is from "up up and away"  PTI sentiment stamp set! It is all on stampers select white.

Happy Monday Friends,

So I love, love, love this paper collection !!  Is it awesome or what

Basic Grey Lucille. I got it at the scrapbook expo in Pleasanton  and I am just thrilled with it.

The booth was great the prices were not discounted too much.

Oh yes and my doily is from the silhouette on line store - look at the intricate cuts on there, I am always amazed with my new machine how well it cuts this doily is about 1.75 inches.

I hope you are as thrilled with my card as I am. It doesn't quite follow the sketch. I think the banner might need  something--- I better quit while I am ahead or I will start picking it apart.
