Happy Halloween,
I hope you all stay safe tonight.

We were are suppose to get rain tonight, that will be too bad for the kiddies out there trick or treating.
I met with my knit wit buds today and we have our annual knit wit sale this week end and next . I will share some pictures soon of some of the things we make. There are some incredibly talented women in our group.  You will see. I pretty much do the basic knit, pearl, my crocheting is a bit more elaborate.  On to more of what today is about Halloween.-- Spooky, scary, eek!!!!!!

My friend from college that I keep trying to get to start a blog and post her cards  sent me this card for Halloween-- Don't you think she should start a blog.  I think I should enter this in a challenge for her.   What do you think?

Before I begin with my post I want to say a prayer for all my friends and family that are in the North East. Also, prayers go out to all the families that have lost loved ones, their  homes and those that have been displaced through this horrific storm. I also want to keep in prayer all the emergency men and women, Police, fire, EMT and Red cross, salvation army and all care takers nurses etc.  Also the state and local governing officials that are presiding over the smooth transition of medical and food supplies, also keeping in prayer any of the volunteers for strength energy and good health. Amen

I was hoping to make a cute and not too spooky card, but this looks rather spooky to me. I guess it is kind of a cute little monster.

You know I like my Mojo mornings. Here is the sketch, This week it is round or square.
I chose the square card. I made it 4.25 x 4.25 fits perfectly in an A2 envelope with no extra postage unless you make it too thick.

 I am still working on the Halloween cards we have two more days and then most of the challenges will probably go in the direction of the next two Holidays, that is just my guess

Good Evening Blogger Friends

Doesn't this verse Ecclesiastes 3:1  just speak to you? I know you probably thought it was a Simon & Garfunkel song, it is that to, but not original words by those two great song writers. I thought this was a good time to share a verse that I like and a lot of times I say when one door closes another opens-- I did not make that up, I heard that somewhere, but I did make this card and it is a positive/ negative and one card on top of another the top card opens on the right and the bottom card opens from the bottom. How cool is that I kind of made it up, I may have seen it somewhere, but not anywhere that I can remember.
The card was a lot of fun. The theme is form Stampin' sisters in Christ challenge and that is the verse they are using this week.

Hi Friends,

I can not believe how quick this week went by. This morning I get up early run to the post office, do the grocery shopping come home put it away, get my gym bag ready, because I want to get the work out in and out of the way early so I can blog. I'm just ready to leave and hubby calls and he says they have the parking garage closed and there is no where to park.
PLAN B-- call a friend chat for a while, (and you know who you are, because I know you read my blog)  go to the drug store, and then to the local craft store-- OMGoodness  --- they had spellbinders for 50% off--- I'm so excited.
I will be using those soon--- then I went to the health club and there were like -- no, not like----- there were  a dozen peeps in there, 4 guys the rest gals -- now I have a ton of laundry to do
while the laundry is washing, I have ironing and then I will try to blog (visit).

For dinner I'm making pork tenderloin medallions in an orange sauce with wild rice, baby carrots and a salad.

I have been cooking a lot this week and when you don't see me on here that is why that is my other art I love to cook and paint.

Remember the flower arrangement I made for Decorate to Celebrate  out of the Authentique paper
 I did a whole ensemble here-- Flowers cupcake holders and card.

I love how it all turned out

Welcome to another.........
 DL.ART Thankful  Thursday challenge

THEME: Any holiday from October to the end of the year

We had a great rain this week and an earthquake to boot.  It was only a 5.3, but still reminded me of  the BIG ONE we had in 1989.  I was hoping it did not continue. The big one we had started right at the beginning of the world series game and the game was being played in San Francisco. The epi -center was 6 miles from where we live so, yeah I felt it.  On to  a happier note, I have so much to be thankful for  and this week has been no exception. I got a lot of goodies in the mail this week and will share with you soon.




Here is my project for today for some inspiration for you

  I used The Ornament keepsakes collection from stampin' up and cut out four of the images. I used brown sugar ink Jenni Bowlin for the stamp image
and candy cane stickles for the dot on my i in the word Christmas.

Another quick post and another fun card.

This one is a shaped card came from Life's a party. This is really an odd sized card so it will not fit  in a standard A2. It will most likely fit in a 6x 9 size envelope.

 The die cut is Mr. Bones the white, is the back side of the cut out. Easy peasy Clean and simple card.
He is pretty cute isn't he?

This is my Design day over at Pumpkin Spice Blog .  We are taking a Graveyard tour today with Chillings worth Manor paper from Echo Park.  This paper is so fun for Halloween. I have  worked with this for the last couple of weeks and Halloween is almost here.  I only have a few more days to be playing with  it and then of course all the fall and Thanksgiving paper is out. Yeah I love that paper also!!!

I have a Christmas exchange coming up and  we have  a limit of how much we can spend.  I know everyone  loves the handmade cards and in a gift box set.  I made a belly band out of the striped paper which slides really nicely on and off the box. It is also just the right depth to fit truffle inside, so it could be used as a treat box

I've got some new cartridges I have been playing around with so I thought I would have some fun. I saw a few challenges that this would fit. So  I gave the newbies a work out.

This is a cupcake wrapper (favor, treat box) with a Black bow  made from crinkle ribbon, from 3 girl jams tuxedo bundle.  The cartridge I used is Teresa Collin's Chic and Scary, the papers are from Authentique enchanted collection.
Now all I need to do is make some graveyard cupcakes--- does anyone have a recipe?
 I made up the name.  Maybe there is a recipe to fit it

If you checked my post on Tuesday you would l have seen the tip on how I made this washi tape banner.

For my card today I am using MME Lost & Found "Rosy" for the Black and white dotted paper,  the top right and the lower left  rounded corner pieces. The wood panel is from EP "This and That" all on top of an A2 Kraft card stock base. I used versamark onyx black ink to ink the edges of all the papers.

 I am showcasing  products from Shop Pumpkin Spice. You can find all these brands in the shop pumpkin spice store.
