Here is my Inspiration:

I used Classically modern cards for this sympathy card, which I gave to my friend this week, her father passed away in February.  She is an ordained pastor and she gave the eulogy at the memorial.  The designer series paper is  Pink Paislee Memorandum and DCWV basic stack (from way back)

Happy Friday Everyone,
The red heart is for - National wear  red day to bring awareness about heart disease being the number 1 killer in women.

I made this card for a few challenges.  Sadly one of my good friends fathers passed away on Wednesday and I thought this would make a good sympathy card, even though it looks like a valentine day card.

The papers are G45 Amour, The crinkle ribbon is from DL.ART Valentine bundle Red Hot Love. The sketch is from mojo and the dies are spellbinder  squares and hearts and jaded blossom stitched circles.

Hi Friends,
Happy Monday!!  I love Mondays.  Finally we had a quiet weekend. The fireworks have subsided. They are illegal in our city, but people still continue to set them off.  I t is a bit sad because we are in the middle of a draught and we live in the  forest.

Sadly, I have had to make sympathy cards and this is the first one I will be posting today.

Hi Friends,
 I have sad news, a dear friend of mine passed away on Saturday, while camping with her husband and family. They were in a fairly remote area, by the time the ambulance got there, it was too late. The last eleven years we have really gotten close and we had a lot of heart to hearts. I met her in the late 70's and I will miss her very much. It was heart failure.

I won last week at Leeleecards and  this is what I won

and this is the card I made from the kit, which I will be sending today. I followed the directions- easy peasy.  There is a lot of stuff in this kit- lots of stickers.The memorial is next weekend.

It is mainly sympathy cards, the timing on the win was bitter sweet. I absolutely love the stamp set Thank you Diana- if you have not been to Lee Lee cards check it out. You will be very inspired.

Good Evening Friends,

I needed another sympathy card, in fact I need quite a few more.  I won't go into it now, but let me say this has been one of the longest darkest weeks in quite awhile.  I do see light at the end of the tunnel, because I know where my hope comes from.  I am thankful for the puffy clouds in the sky today and my family and so much more.  This is the second sympathy card  I have made this week and I love the way it came out. It is my first ever Iris fold card. I used two different  K & Company paper packs  and 4 different patterns, but the patterned paper still looks good together.

The folding came together so easily because I used the "Iris fold cards" cut file from  SVGcuts.com-- It is basically all done for you and if you get stumped Mary has a great video showing you how to put it together

The base of my card is PTI vanilla cream the the gray is Bazzill all the rest are from K& company. It took a bit of time to put together, but it was easy.

Here is what I used to make this card:

in the metallic : pink shade

As I told you yesterday, I had to make another sympathy card.  I used the Cri-Kits gel pen holder and pen for the image along with coredinations textured card stock  layering and some stickles. The stamp is from Stampendous  and the background paper is from My Minds Eye. The base card stock is PTI. The pen glided beautifully over the textured card stock.

 DL.ART Thankful  Thursday challenge
THEME: SYMPATHY OR GET WELL

A while back a friend of ours, mother passed away and I made this card for the family.  I really like having these on hand and not making them when they are needed.  I find it so sad to make them at the time of the loss, but maybe it helps me grieve for them and have a small understanding of what they are feeling at the time .  Whenever someone passes away I always wonder what memories will they have left behind.  That is why I chose the prize I did for this challenge.  My hope is that who ever wins it will start recording those memories while their loved one is alive so they can help with the recording.

I finished the inside on this card also.

All card stock is PTI
I used liquid pearls on the front
EK success punch
Martha Stewart border punch for the inside.


The challenge will begin on October 11th at 9:00 am and end on October 27th at 11:59 pm.
